Realistically - at what dose does this become an issue. Are we talking 10iu+ daily? As low as 5? 3?
All we know is it doesn't appear to happen in people with IGF under 1.5x the upper limit of normal for their age, and that even with IGF above that it takes a long time. At least a couple of years at 2x upper limit of normal (ULN) for the first signs to appear, but they're so subtle, most people who develop acromegaly as an adult don't realize something is going on for 5+ years.
That's probably why some of the known/suspected celebrity rHGH users who appear to have gotten some of these effects didn't catch it until it was too late.
This is going to become more common in years to come now that rHGH is affordable enough for many to use high doses indefinitely. Not something that was common at $10/iu.
