Louisiana Steroid Bust on Bodycam

DECLAIMER: I'M NOT SUGGESTING ANYONE ACT RECKLESSLY. SIMPLY PROVIDING SOME CONTEXT.

There are an estimated 5 million steroid users in the US.

I just did a comprehensive search. How many people do you think are currently imprisoned on steroid related charges in the US (federal and state)?

That's a lot of dealing going on to serve millions of users. Should be quite a few right?

A grand total of ONE. (less than 2 dozen spent any time in jail on steroid charges over the last 10 years at the state and federal level.

Millions of active users, and only one guy behind bars. And he fled from an ongoing prosecution for steroids and restarted another steroid business lol.

(personally I'd never sell, or even give it away. But it seems like simple possession, especially if you're not otherwise involved in crime, is anything to lose sleep over)

Respectfully...

Hence the disclaimer. Don't be foolish, even dropped charges are not a pleasant experience.

Just pointing out where things stand. and have for a while. Why is it like this? I have no idea. No public pressure? Changing social standards of acceptable behavior? LE on gear? Maybe.

Potheads got their drug of choice decriminalized. Maybe we should too.

It is not a problem until it is a problem. Some tik tok teens will flatline on gear and at some point there will be a huge crackdown. Crying moms at a senate hearing or the first lady asks POTUS to take action and all the sudden hundreds of folks get scooped up by sources wanting lighter sentences and sharing their lists. Most peoples personal gear stash would probably qualify as distribution to an aggressive district attorney.

Not unlike immigration raids going down now. How many businesses are in a panic now after this raid today?

YEARS of businesses hiring illegals and it has only been a fine. It may never reach that point, but there is always a chance it could happen.

Yeah if anything were to stir up a crusade it would be some media friendly story with lots of tears. I'm sure we'd see public opinion turning well in advance of a crackdown. .
