MESO "Specialized" Testing Group Fund

I was thinking, why don't we sponsor the 10years old MENT test? @dick_starbuck need to provide the sample tho
We got that as an option (it is GSO if I read correctly) as well as the 10 year old vial of Tren (also GSO) from @Nixonnow99. We need to get him an answer as well so he can toss if no interest.

I got almost no votes on the latter.

We also have @Photon 's styrene testing project that will be super helpful.

The GCMS model benefits as well from any data we get along the way as another plus.

The fund is running, it has money, let's keep it going guys! I am proud of the progress and appreciate the community coming together for this.

@Photon 's styrene testing project
It’s my understanding styrene is a toxic/cancerous component of vinyl, plastic, rubber, etc
Is the @Photon testing to determine if styrene is the cause of color variance/causing degradation? It’s probably been discussed previously but just want clarity for people not following too closely, myself. Thanks

Potential leaching from bottletop filtration. Photon will chime in i hope.

So I’m guessing this illustrates the issue fairly well. And I assume this isn’t exclusive to Tren, but affects most of the compounds we are using? Maybe we could broaden the MESO support base by highlighting range of the chosen projects?

Majority of the US Dom vendors are using bottletop filters.
They are made up of a single piece of plastic + a filter membrane in the middle.

Vast majority of bottle-top filters are made of polystyrene.
It is cheap, easy to source and comes sterilized.
It does not make sense for most dom vendors to upgrade as they do not sell liters of oil like the Chinese.
Polystyrene melts/leeches when it comes in contact with MCT or BB or BA.
It is a clear plastic, even if it melts into your oil, you wont see it and it won't affect the mg/ml significantly.

In addition to the plastic leeching, the filters used may also dissolve when exposed to BA/BB.

PVDF filters can only be used for low BB solutions.
PTFE is best, but can be difficult to source.
Nylon is in between.

Higher concentration/solvent gear like SUS500/T500/TRE400/TNE/Inj Orals etc need better filters (PTFE), else you end up with both melted plastic (Polystyrene) and filters.

The project involves
(1) Working with Jano to come up with a test to detect melted polystyrene (maybe melted filters as well?)
(2) Collecting US Dom gear and sending it for testing.

Unfortunately due to personal reasons, I will not be running the project.
If someone else is interested, they may lead it else we can scrap the idea.

I will help out with (1) -- I plan to send TRE400 for polystyrene detection in a week or two when my raws arrive.

Thanks for explaining the project and goals.

indeed, it would probably be best to ask mr janoshik himself if he can specalize in this kind of testing or we have to find lab for us that specializes in this kind of thing.

think its pretty hard to compare anavar to microplastics

I think he can, I'll send in polystyrene dissolved in BA/BB which he can use as a reference, when i sent in my vial for testing. We'll know in a few weeks i guess.

sounds good with a early baseline.

ofc its interesting to know the dangers of injecting micro plastics and have them eventually swarm your organs. just by eating them we get cancer.

i think what im trying to say if you start this project you need to establish a clear goal of accomplishment for harm reduction for people like me who dont have alot of chemical knowledge

but now months later jumps on the bandwagon of the geek squad and loves every post trying to dog SHA and degrade him with name calling from his butt buddies lol

Here I will help since your research skills are lacking. I already shared this with you so you must be acting willfully ignorant.

You are mad because I found that this source was improperly sterilizing equipment and should get an autoclave. Understood.

The key question is why you are upset about it. Why?
