Have you tried glycerol powder - brand name hydroprime ?This might sound odd, but have you heard of anything that can help with heat tolerance? (Opposite of feeling cold)
I've heard of glycine mentioned on this forum, reta does make me feel cold but it's completely random.

It’s supposed to help with heat tolerance or thermoregulation at least for during exercise
Or am I misinterpreting what you’re asking?

I didnt have high BP I had EXTREME BP! The day they finally decided to treat me my RN sister and one of my wifes RN friemds told me to go to the ER. My BP was like 215 over something!Below 120/80 has been the standard in the most recent (2017 ish) guidelines from the various cardiology organizations that set them. They're extremely conservative, so the supporting data to make the changes had to be enormous. They're so slow to make changes the new "ideal" of below 120/80 was a decade behind all the research that said that's what it should be, and it'll take primary care doctors another decade to realize the standards changed 8 years ago, lol.

The most recent update to BP treatment guidelines (relevant to us) is they now advise immediately starting with meds to lower BP once it's over 130/80 (no more waiting for a year of lifestyle changes, since we now know organ damage can occur in that time, kidney, eyes, etc), and starting with *low dose 2 class combination* drugs (lower side effect risk, and works better). The low dose combo treatment approach is something discussed extensively here on Meso over a year ago.
Canada has done a good job of putting together an easy to read guide on the 2025 updates to BP treatment guidelines:
They lower the standard to push meds
Yes my kidneys took a hit and have never really recovered. Levels are always off no matter what I do. I dont drink alcohol, VERY rarely have a soda. Always water and juices. Ill throw in cranberry juice now and then and even some vitamins for support

Whats funny today that the "normal" bp standards are WAY less than many moons ago when 130s were standard.
