I found this in another post. Notice the standard is always the same value, but completely different from the sensitive. This is one of those things that we just don't need to learn the hard way.

I thought I was getting deep enough for IM with a 1/2" insulin syringe into glutes. I'm pretty lean, but still someone told me it's probably not going into muscle.

If only they had longer 27g needles. The only thin wall ones I could find were the nipros .5 or 1.25. 1 inch or 5/8 would have been much better.

Yeah I would do 1" for glutes. I do half inch for Delts and I consider it a shallow IM so I would assume with glutes closer to SubQ than IM, but that's just random logic as I have no actual clue lol.

30g for the Half " and 27g for Inch. I typically just swap Delts EOD tho.

I use 1 inch 28g needles that I get from work. When I get home I can DM you the brand and you can maybe see if you can find them online.

I didn't think subq affected aromatization much. If it does can someone link that study? I figured it was body fat in general and some people just being hyper aromatizers.

Yeah, I wish Nipro had something between the 0.5 and 1.25. Right now 0.5 is working for every site I’m pinning (delts, thighs, pecs, VG). But I suspect I might need something longer for glutes.

I think I might buy the 1.25 and try cutting the needle shroud in half and using that to reduce the depth. Kinda like this (just a mockup to test):

Yeah, I wish Nipro had something between the 0.5 and 1.25. Right now 0.5 is working for every site I’m pinning (delts, thighs, pecs, VG). But I suspect I might need something longer for glutes.

I think I might buy the 1.25 and try cutting the needle shroud in half and using that to reduce the depth. Kinda like this (just a mockup to test):

Switched from EasyTouch to Nipro LL and
After filling and plunging all the way there’s still oil left in the plastic portion of the needle. It appears to be .05ml is this just waste that’s taken into consideration or should I be over filling by that amount.

I just ordered EqsyTouch needles. Are Nipro much better than those ?

It’s “waste” and shouldn’t reduce your dosage. If you want to salvage that tiny bit, pull a little bit of air into the syringe before injecting to push that through (make sure the air is at the back of the syringe). But, you will technically be going ever so slightly over the dose you pulled. I personally write it off because injecting air, although safe, makes me uneasy.

It's taken into account.
1ml in the syringe is 1ml + 0.05ml leftover.
You do not need to overfill to compensate.

Creating a spacer..actually sounds like a good idea.
Someone could probably 3d print a nice looking one..
