I hate what tiktok and instagram have done to the gym in general. Cant go a day without tripping on a tripod while some skinny fat kid is taking a video of a 185 pound squat for his 7 followers to watch. Last week saw some dude record his entire workout moving a tripod from station to station. He was taking videos doing seated calf raises with 25 lbs. I couldn't believe it lol

Yea authenticity is definitely refreshing when it comes to the social media content stuff. Tiktok is just not my bag, seems like a vapid wasteland. I like some YouTube stuff but I’m kinda picky. I’m 27 and I find most of the stuff people around my age or younger produce to be grossDamnfair enoguh tho, valid point;
I'm not sure how much time y'all spend online (becuase you guys actually have lives and don't just live online like me) but like 95% of influencers are incredibly fake and misleading with their content and just want to sell you stuff; like, for example, clav shitting on meso sources and promoting his shitty overpriced pepties.
Even guys that cater to older audiences like VigorousSteve and MPMD are just tryna sell you their overpriced courses or supplements and it just gets frustrating.
You don't really come by people who are gueninely authentic(even if their content is prob not the best) but lucas just posts what he thinks and is very genuine which I appreciate, its like a breath of fresh air. And he hasn't changed since he got popular, if anyting i think his content is way better now

I agree with your assessment of TikTokers. To be fair, I have this same opinion of YouTubers and podcasters and…everyone with a platform really. TikTok is just especially cringe because I hate short form content, catering to the morons with the attention span of a goldfish. They’ve got to make the most outlandish claims to do well on their platform.
Also, I would absolutely give you a fist bump at Thanksgiving. Adding you to my mental list of “one of us” where @sionnach also has a seat at the table.

I believe I have more in common with a chimp than with anyone who would willingly watch that clowns videos. I hate the internet (I appreciate the irony of typing that) and what it's done to our already sick society. Al Gore needs to be held responsible for all this bullshit. I have a Dr's appointment today and I'm already grumpy as heck, getting up to date on this thread didn't help that in the least.

My TikTok is reminiscent of old YouTube. No influencers, no dancing, no opinions, just hours and hours of cats, people falling down, and metal. You gotta make the algorithm work for you.
Mine is full of people yelling you can't park there, fart spray, and people falling.

I think other samples were sent out, and didnt show any plastics.
Then it turned out it was never plastics in the first place.
Its been hard to follow it all with all the shitposting. So forgive me if thats not entirely accurate.
