I've trained all over the place, almost guaranteed I know someone with a club or school or garage mats not far from you. There's the whole opsec thing though...

But I can relate. I prefer my alone time so much that I had periods where I struggled to find local community I clicked with when I needed it. The gym helps. It's not really for me anymore, but I had church as a kid, you could try that. Avoid bars, in the long run the drinking buddies you make there will likely only bring you down.

Oh for sure. I think when you look at serious gym goers many are introverts in general. There are few in here I’ve had side bar conversations with that I truly appreciate. Going out of there way to help me with my idiocy and taking time out of their lives and I value that. Won’t name names but they know who they are. It’s just easier for me in here. Nobody wants to talk gym, cycles, diet etc… and some stuff who are we even comfortable with talking about it. Yeah my ol lady knows but she doesn’t care how my E2 is acting lol.

Yeah opsec is a killer when you meet some solid bros (and ladies) in here. Truth is some small things have shown me a few of us aren’t far apart location wise. Church is a no but once upon a time I did teach Sunday school. Don’t drink anymore (maybe a beer socially). I’m good to go though. Not depressed about it. Got a few guys from army days that pop in occasionally and we tell old war stories. Got an annual trip planned going forward with some. But I’m content

Just come here and chat with us. We're all here for a reason, and it's not because we have a big social circle outside of here.
