Hi all,

52m here from Cleveland. I have been on a weight loss journey for 4 years, the last 5 months with the help of retatrutide which got me out of a hella stall.

The weight loss journey is nearing the end and I'm getting close to the rebuild time. I've started researching weight training and have equipped a home gym to get started. It's been a good 5 years since I lifted, having stopped when I had some injuries. I have a bit of loose skin and am not ready to flap it all about at the local gyms just yet.

My plan is to continue with my reta and start an ipamorelin/tesomorelin stack concurrently with a "Starting Strength" routine. I currently take KLOW and retatrutide. I have found KLOW useful for the cardio work that I do (basically hiking and rucking). Noticable recovery time improvement. I have almost an 800 testosterone level naturally and don't see the point of looking into TRT right now. I have been taking 5mg of creatine a day for quite some time. I'm currently working on getting at least 120g of protein a day and working up to 180+. I'm 5'10". I currently weigh 235 but 180 is my ultimate goal weight.

I'm also going to try and stay off steroids if at all possible but am here to learn and figure out what will work for me if I decide it's necessary later on.

I appreciate you all and the community's "no harm" mission statement. Thank you for having me.

It’s excellent you are coming here with an open mind and looking to learn. There is a ton of collective experience to help guide you in whatever direction you choose. Typically people that are rigid and impatient run into issues.

Theres an over 40 forum with excellent info for those of us getting long on the tooth. Dig through old threads and make reading here a hobby. I can guarantee you learn some cool stuff and meet a good people.

Incorporating a strength training program will make a huge difference towards achieving your goals. Hope to see you around

Consistency and moderation in the beginning. Sprains and strains get harder to recovery from with age. but once you get into form you should have a good sense which direction you want to head.

I can’t stress this enough take advantage of reading through old threads. Guys here will help you fill in gaps if you run into questions.
