GH forehead growth

I've been running 12iu for about a year and my forehead muscles look larger. I am also 40 now so overall aging is hitting me.

What is your experience with forehead, facial musculature, hands/feet, and overall acromegaly growth with GH use?

I am mitigating by dropping dosage to 6iu when I am not trying to gain weight.

I would pay to see before and after photos of your forhead if there's a difference visually.
Like a bar bet. I don't believe it and I'll cashApp you $20 if there's a visual difference.
Don't need to see your whole face. Just enough of your forhead to be able to see growth.
Maybe hold a little sign up with the date and initials DE. You can even put the info on your massive 5 head....let's do this!

And only 2iu, usually considered not much over a replacement dose. Insane!

The case report said his primary care physician noticed the supraphysiological (for age) IGF-1, but was reluctant to lower the GH dose because every time he saw the patient, the guy made it very clear how thrilled he was by the improvement to mood, energy, and quality of life. It was only when a family member found a picture of the guy from 5 years earlier and showed it to the doctor who then sent him to the endocrinologist.

A relative coming across a pic from a few years ago, and wedding rings not fitting are the two main triggers that lead to an adult onset acromegaly diagnosis.

Like 12iu / day OP above…aka FiveHead, so happy with the results and acro is so slow to develop, probably didn’t notice until someone else pointed it out….

I dont see much of a change besides that guys droopy eye lids??? I mean he’s 60 too.

My IGF was 165. I only “feel” GH when my body fat and estrogen is high. That’s when I get the carpal tunnel and when I got fat (15-16%) it’s the one time I got pitting edema in both ankles so I dropped the GH, it went away, then restarted from 2iu and worked back up as my body fat dropped. I know my source is legit, 36iu vials.

I’ll work on some pics for your entertainment lol

Stallone's transformation is because of plastic surgery stretching his facial fascia more and mover towards his ears. I don't think that's acromegaly.

Meaning, his face is getting pulled tighter and tighter back towards his ears. They they add fillers making it thicker.

The lessen here is pay attention to IGF-1. That’s where all the risk is, especially for long term use,

If it takes 10iu to get you to IGF Z score +2 (top of the physiological range for your age), that’s fine for indefinite use according to endocrinologist guidelines. They changed from the old weight based dosing, to IGF-1 guided doses. Z score +2 is high, but there’s zero risk of rHGH driven overgrowth / acromegaly.

If you’re an outlier, hyper-responder, and 2iu pushes you to an IGF-1 Z score +4 like this dude, you’re at risk of developing acromegaly over the course of a few years.

Getting my IGF and Z from
Labcorp soon, if I just switched from 3x a week to daily (very similar weekly total) how long should I wait to make sure that test is spot on?

The guidelines say 4 weeks to stabilized IGF, but 2 of consistent dosing (or any other IGF-1 impacting change you make, like protein intake or calorie restriction) is enough in my experience.

I suspect I got cutis verticis gyrata from gh. Lowered my dose from 10ui to 2ui, temporary gains you get from high gh aint worth being permanently ugly

That’s definitely possible and mentioned in growth hormone literature.

A more recent thing that’s come to light is that Minoxidil, topical or oral, can amplify the effects of IGF-1, speeding up cell division and tissue growth so much it can cause acromegaly like features in rare cases. If the minoxidil dose is VERY high (50mg oral) acromegaly can develop even if GH and IGF levels are normal!

This guy got “pseudo acromegaly” after using high dose oral minoxidil for 10 years. Have to admit that hairline is looking great though lol.

Really interesting...and concerning. Not sure why someone would use oral minoxidil 50mg, unless its an only option for BP?

For MBP isn't the typical dose 2.5-5mg.

I wonder what the basic mechanism is for oral minoxidil potentiating IGF-1 effect.

That last paragraph in the exert, i would maybe need to read more understand, but the prior info states that oral min caused this and it potentiates IGF-1 effects... then 'meanwhile' ...'excessive IGF-1 production by the liver in response to GH'. So, is this saying that the minoxidil also caused excessive production of IGF-1 via HGH. Is potentiating IGF-1s effects the same as causing it's excessive production?

TLDR

-Minoxidil makes cells more sensitive to IGF-1 growth promoting effects.

-Balding areas of the scalp have less IGF-1 than areas with healthy hair

-Minoxidil allows hair follicle cells to respond better to the diminished supply of IGF-1, and promotes the growth of microscopic blood vessels to bring more IGF-1 to an area, improving hair growth. In the example above, topical minoxidil “amplified” IGF-1 effects were localized to the scalp, causing cutis vertis gyrata.

-This effect has been observed elsewhere with oral minoxidil, including promoting skin turnover, collagen deposition, and increased IGF-1 induced repair of endothelium (blood vessels walls). It’s reasonable to presume oral minoxidil makes tissues everywhere more responsive to IGF-1, for better or worse. It’s been suggested minoxidil may be a good skin anti-aging agent, like taking growth hormone just for your skin.

If your forehead muscle have grown, the corrogators, right above eye brows. Just do some botox. That will semi paralyze the muscle and make it atrophy. Simple. Even just doing it once a year will be a benefit. It takes time for muscle to grow

So topical minoxidil on my dick when taking hgh,.....

rubbing minoxidil on my calves pwo from now on.

Do you do this? I was already wondering about trying to subtly reduce my glabellar lines as i look angry/stressed all the time (which i probably am at work to be fair!)...
