For a couple of years “Adult ADHD” diagnosis shot way up (for legitimate reasons, many went undiagnosed in childhood before 2000), but once the DEA noticed the spike in amphetamine prescriptions, they cracked down hard and it’s much more difficult for adults to find someone willing to accept new patients to even evaluate them, and if they do get a diagnosis, are more likely to get some non-effective alternative med than Adderall type drugs.
