HGH 2IUs ED or 5IUs 3x/week

Only lifting 3x a week and wondering if I could just pin 5IUs on those days or should I just stick with 2IUs ED. Weekly total would be about the same but I'm wondering if a higher dose less frequently would make any difference.

FWIW, I'm 42 and have been using 2IUs ED for 3 months. IGF1 went from 46 to 153. Getting mild CT and water retention on just 2IUs but heard less frequent pinning could reduce those sides.

IGF1 went from 46
If this number is real I would stop hgh and go see and endocrinologist. Do you have liver issues? How much has your quality of life improved at 156 igf1?

In your case I think you are so low on igf1 that you’d likely benefit more from the continuous dosing of daily over 3x a week. I would double up on making sure you’re getting a gallon of water a day, making sure your electrolytes are good, and look into supplementing taurine and Ala or r-Ala for the hand tingles and CTS.

Liver values and bloodwork are all good and not even at the higher end of the range.

Tripling IGF1 levels hasn't really resulted in any noticeable effect.

Please do explain why im wrong, thumb boy @jamie.0187
Someone who cant afford to run desired dose daily, shouldn't be using GH, 5iu 3x a week means you are constantly flipping the switch with your natural production, it starts producing again then right away exogenous GH comes in again, repeat.

2IU/ED is also not gonna be your moneys worth given the cost of GH and the small difference between natural production and exogenous

In terms of your naturally low IGF-1 levels; I’m no doctor so I can’t help there.

When it comes to taking exogenous HGH; I’m going to hold your hand when I say this - If you can’t afford to take 4iu+ daily, don’t bother.

It's not so much as issue of affording 4IUs as much as it is trying to mitigate the side effects. I thought sides might lessen on 2IUs as time passed on but it only seems to accumulate.

Given the effects of 2IUs I feel it is still above a replacement dose especially for someone in their late 40s.

5IUs 3x week has reduced sides quite dramatically so I may stick with this for a month or two. I might bump to 8IUs 3-4x week and see how that goes but I should really stick with 5IUs and see how that effects IGF levels. Thinking 6 weeks will probably be enough to test and see if it is a viable option.

Also, primary goal is quality of life improvement maybe slightly focused on anti-aging.

Studies consistently show 3x week dosing provides similar benefits to daily if the total weekly dose is the same.

This is recommended by Endo guidelines to patients who aren’t good at compliance with daily injections.

While MOST people suffer worse sides, since peak levels of GH are associated with worse side effects, a minority seem to be “peak tolerant / stable elevated intolerant”, so they feel better with larger, e3d dosing.

The theory is that the GH troughs between e3d doses allows fluid to drain, reducing their side effect intensity, but that benefits of rHGH are the same at the same average weekly levels.

But for most people, steady daily dosing results in fewer sides.
