Is dose “immunity” a thing?

If someone uses high dose gear for a prolonged period of time; does one built “immunity” to it? I’ve seen this mentioned before but have no idea on its validity. For example i’ve seen them say if someone used 1g Test a week for a year (for arguments sake) and wanted to go on a bulking cycle they would have to use 1500-2000 to gain anything his body is so immune to a gram now.

Is there any truth to that? Does prolonged exposure to a certain dose lead to “immunity”? Or do gains if you bulk on that dose after prolonged exposure until you max out the gains you can make at that dose? If that makes sense. And if it’s a thing, does it reset after returning to lower dosage for some time to regain effectiveness?

As far as i’m concerned at some point, once you maximize all variables training, diet, supplementation, recovery, health, so you will hit a plateau on a given dose. To grow more, you will need more androgens, because as your muscle mass increases, the number of androgen receptors also increases. So on the same dose, you simply won’t be able to progress further.

It’s the same as with calories. You can grow on 4,000 calories up to a certain size, but if you don’t increase intake, you won’t grow more.

That's a pretty open question. Someone under 200 lbs on a low dose and not at genetic potential will get a different answer than someone 250+ on a high dose.
so it’s like i said then, no? The 250lbs guy is likely to have muscle mass so likely maxxed out the gains they can make at lower doses unlike the sub 200lbs guys.

Unfortunately everyone is different so there is no exact answer.

For my part there is a set timeframe where the anabolic effects are on. For test e and NPP it is about ~6 weeks, primobolan ~8 weeks. After that bodyweight doesn't change a bit, and I am pushing the same weights week after week. Wasting time getting sick/missing training/fucking up diet is a waste of the cycle because I can't make up for it later in the same cycle as if there was a set amount of growth that could be gained, so it proves it has to do with time on. Upping the dose only gives me marginal effects, not worth the weeks spent on cycle. Adding an extra compound is like reactivating the anabolism again.

For others that I have trained with these numbers are completely different, and some people respond to increasing the dose.

Immunity is the wrong word for this, it is desensitization/saturation.

Nah I don't believe it not from my own experience.. I was high dose guy never got over 237lbs lean using everything I could..

I thought maybe because iv used high dose my body won't respond to a lower dose anymore.. I get my training and diet in check im currently over 240lbs on 1/3rd what I was using previously..

So for the 1gram argument.. If I used 1g Test weekly for a year with inconsistent work and diet I make a few gains nothing to write home about.. Take the same 1g weekly and add consistent 5500cals you will have a hell of a cycle..

I believe 250mg Test weekly with perfect diet and training is going to give more growth that 1gram weekly and inconsistent efforts..

No. You just need more androgens the bigger you get.
Absolutely to an extent.. First and foremost diet and training.. Max out on these, then add a dose..

Every cycle doesn't need to be upped as you can just add more food and volume to training until a certain point.. Then upping the doses comes..

Iv also found using high doses just ups the metabolism to a point you physically can't eat enough calories to keep your weight nevermind add any more..

The drugs are always effective and AR density up-regulates with exogenous hormones in play. Escalating dosage is almost always the last thing to consider.
