Mig840 and BB

When brewing with 840 do you adjust how much bb you use ? Like if you have a test prop recipe that calls for 2/20 do you lower the bb since 840 has solvent properties?

I lower the bb%, yes.

e.g
Test prop can hold close to 200mg/ml with just 20% BB in MCT. However most vendors use 20%, with just 100mg/ml just to thin out the oil. Given that 840 is as thin as BB, you do not need to add additional BB to thin it out. With 840, you can probably get away with <10% BB.

Same for EQ, it doesn't need BB at all, but MCT + EQ without BB is thick, so vendors add 20% BB. With 840, you can use 0% BB and it'll be smoother than MCT+20%BB.

Got it , appreciate all the info bro! Next brew of test p I’ll try 2/10. 2/35 works perfect for the adrol 50, it’s held in the fridge with no crashing.

@Photon is there any benefit to using pre filtered MiG 840 / and 812. The source for both of these has filtered and unfiltered versions of both, since everything gets filtered at the end is it really necessary to be brewing with pre filtered oil ? Same with GSO, if I were to get a bottle of just standard issue , expeller pressed refined GSO is that okay to brew with for personal use, or should we only ever use usp grade ?

No, just get the unfiltered ones.

Get USP grade.
There are stricter standards for stuff that's graded.
EUR PH, NF, USP etc.
The more alphabets you see the better lol.

MLS sells essential oil grade GSO - not recommended.
Don't get food grade oil from Costco either.

Get this instead.
