Reta log w/adhd medication and ssri meds

So, a little background info. I’ve been on Trt for the past 4 years. I’ve done a few short 1-2 month blast. Although it doesn’t have much to do with Reta…

Im usually in decent shape. Most ppl think im in good shape but im honestly somewhere around 25-27% BF. Im also on a ssri, ADHD, and a sleep med seraquel. I’m not going to go any further into to that. But if you have any questions feel free to ask!
( Food wise)
I started Reta Monday night at .75-1mgish.
I did stuff my face before I went to bed and while trying to sleep. A major side effect of my sleep med. before everyone starts judging for not being disciplined the best way I can describe to you Broskie. Is if you have had any expierence taking mk677. You can be completely full before taking it and not even the smallest desire to eat anything else. But, the second you take mk677 all of a sudden you go from full to feeling like you haven’t ate in 2 days and raid the fridge like some sort of wild animal.

“The first 24” Anyway…. So I stuffed my face that night and the next morning I wasent hungry one bit I think I made it until 1pm to where I was still not hungry at all but decided let me at least put a protein bar down to have something in my stomach.
Regular meals in the day where I usually have no problem eating a proper amount of food. I can only eat about half that before I’m full. Also I noticed the change of me having to be mindful of what I’m eating and to not over eat. To now being mindful that I should put something in my stomach bc I barely had any breakfast and it’s already 5pm and I’m still not really hungry. I ate around 8pm I had 75% of a quesadilla before I was to full it eat more. I did get the munchies again an hour after taking my sleep meds. I just dident eat as crazy as usually

Day three

My appetite was more suppressed by than the day before. No nausea, or any side effects other then just not being that hungry

I wanted to get breakfast because I wasn’t hungry so I just made a shake. I made eggs about five hours later once again I wasn’t really hungry but trying to keep protein coming in.



Energy/ mood and medication effects


For not eating for prolonged periods as to where I would start getting cranky and sluggish and a drop off in energy. Yeah, dident happen at all

Aderall xr I usually split in 2 bc xr will only last 4-5 hrs for me. When those wear off I have a IR booster dose. The xr lasted me the whole day. Which it never does on the first day. I felt great to just a smooth flow of energy

Day two: I took the aderall xr half of it and the other half 3 hrs later. I ended up having a crazy amount of anxiety almost felt like I took double my dose. I take a 20mg xr as split that into two doses. For two reasons. To give me longer coverage through out the day and bc sometimes a full dose will make me a little to anxious. I was pacing around the house like it was bad.

Today I skipped the aderall to see if it that was def the cause of anxiety and it seems like it was. I feel fine today with out taking it.

Reta seems to slow the release of xr even longer which seems which is good bc you can take less but it does seem to really intensify the dose. So for ppl that are on adhd meds definitely be a little cautious and mindful.

I will continue to update the log through out my journey. Ssri have a long half life so any changes in that I’ll probably notice next week. I’ll keep up with the weight loss or gain

Day 3 I’m up +3lbs weighed my self in the morning
 
Day 3. I forgot to mention starting weight was 203.5. I weighed this morning at 207lb.

Apettite suppression is kind of perfect where it is. It seems the strongest today

300 calorie 32 gram protein shake for breakfast

Chicken on pita with feta onions and pepper and tzatziki sauce. Dident eat home cooked. I would guesstimate about 6 oz of chicken plus pita bread feta and tzatziki. To be about 450-550 cans with roughly 35 grams of protein at 2pm today

I haven’t eaten since and am not really hungry. I’m going to try and get down another 500 calories mostly from protein and prob a shake with it. So I can at least hit 1300 calories and get protein in.


Energy feels great. Dident take my aderall until about 4pm. I was already feeling pretty focused and also testing out the anxiety I had the day before. About an 1hour after taking the aderall. So That anxious feeling came back. After an hour after dosing half of my 5mg aderall. I can’t tell if it’s amplifying it or just breaking it all down to quick with stomach acid. Bc I get the feeling aderall gives when it wears off a little jittery and anxious. But that feeling is what I feel when it kicks in on Reta.

So far I dident get the munchies on the weRaquel tonight yet. But last night I dident go to sleep until about 4 hours after taking it so we’ll see what happens tonight

Just let Reta do its thing. Low and slow. Make it a long race. Too many expect quick drops in weight and up dosage,
 
Hey, fellow ADHD-er here. Since you have mentioned you cycled with test a few times, I was wondering how was your experience with stimulants and test combined, because both can be hard on cardiovacular system by themselves, so the combo seems even more dangerous. I am not on aderall, but on a related, also stimulant, compound.

Did you notice any drastic changes with resting heart rate / anxiety / sleeping / blood pressure while cycling on stimulants. Also based on your bodyfat and profile pic I'd say you're a woman (sorry if I'm mistaken), so there could be differences. Anyways I hope we can open a broader discussion of using gear alongside stimulants, and how to do both stimulants and gear in the safest way possbile, especially for us ADHD-ers.

Did you take any other compounds to offset the negative effects like heart strain and/or oxidative stress that is a product of both stimulants and gear?

**I have not yet hopped on gear, and do not necessarily plan on doing so soon as I had a rather strong injury, and have not been as disciplined with my food and gym since then, but I'm deeply interested into researching the intersection of stimulants and gear in case I ever pull the trigger.**
**I use GLP1s tho, tried sema and tirz for now, not yet dabbled with reta.**
 
Crazy just a minor update. I’m huge caffeine drinker. Energy drinks coffees pre workouts. For years. Easily 500-900mg of caffeine a day. After starting the aderall a year ago I cut out citric acids and energy drinks. Due to the acid completely destroying xr release. But still would drink 2-3 cups of coffee a day.

Almost a week in Reta and I have no desire to finish my morning coffee, and no desire to have caffeine. Which is crazy bc I’ve tried to limit my caffeine in the past and could never.

Hey what’s up! Good to see your at least doing your research instead of just hoping on stuff!

To answer your question, gear definitely does affect all of those you mentioned. A side note though the compound your taking and dosages have a lot to with the way it effects your own body.
Another peice of info the greatly effects heart rate blood pressure and anxiety in my expierence is E2 levels. I don’t know if adhd contributes to feeling higher e2 more pronounced then normal ppl. But I’m a little everywhere already with focus and executive function. When my e2 is in normal range 30-40ng. But immediately know when my e2 is higher anything above 55-60ng e2 levels it’s like my thoughts are 10x worse in terms of being able to focus or think about something in particular. It feels more like. Listening to a radio with a lot of static.

With higher E2 comes higher water retention which = higher blood pressure.

For example the first time I added NPP 200mg a week to a 400mg test blast. I was not yet in tune with my body nor dialed in. I was very anxious for weeks felt sluggish etc…. I could barely fall asleep, it would take hours and would wake up frequently when I did sleep .
I ended up getting a bad ear infection which led me to the drs office. The PA does blood pressure and temperature test. My blood pressure was 162/107. My HR I forget exactly but it was definitely high in the 90s. I did have a lot of water weight and bloated up like 7-8lbs in a month. He started me on lassix for water retention and I also dropped the npp after about a week on the lassix and stopping npp the anxiety and sleeplessness started fading away

Next cycle I got myself a BP cuff and telismartin and atenolol and added adex. .5 2x a week. I tried npp again. This time with hr and BP pretty much in check. I dident get the anxiety and insomnia but just felt like dog shit from npp

I’ve ran primo,dbol, anavar, tbol and NPP in the past. The only ones I could really dial in with was Dbol+ adex @250mg test and Tbol and 250 test with no AI.

Primo crushed my e2 @250mg a week with 500mg of test. By the 5th and 6th week. My e2 was 17. The first few weeks I felt great the 4+ weeks I started feeling worse and worse until I finally went to get bloodwork and saw my e2 that low.

Now where I’m at BF% wise when I stopped going to the gym for a few months and gained about 12-15lbs. My normal Trt dose of roughly 185mg a week was giving me high e2 and felt off for a few months before I had bloodwork again.

Currently I’m at 115mg a week of test E. My t levels sit at around 900-1100 and my e2 around 37. If I gain 5-7lb of not muscle my e2 goes up and I have to drop my dose lower or take an AI.

Aderall increases my resting Hr maybe 10-15bpm. And will raise the bitten number of my blood pressure a little to the higher end of normal. I can only imagine if I was on aderall at the time of my npp blast that could have put me at a very dangerous risk for a stroke. Possibly.

If you start with gear start low and only use one compound at a time so you have an idea how your bodily and mentally tolerate dosages. Blood work is very important to check which can help prevent a lot of these sides

Reta is noted by reports in doing some crazy things in regards to cravings other than food. Drugs, drink habits, etc. I have no desire to really drink alcohol on my usual weekly outing with some friends. I'll have one and be good. I've seen reports of people going sober from cocaine dependance. No way to fact check that but I can believe it.
