Well now I have another rabbit hole to go down, this is very intriguing.I'm telling you man it's completely beyond me why this idea is so shocking when in other industries very similar to us and even another "drug" pathways there's routinely communities that purify.... Take one look in the dark web for example there's a whole community around making pharmaceutical grade "drugs". And they used very similar process to this and they achieved very very very pure um...well....snow?
I learned this idea from that and ran with it. Turns out its got utility in our situation
Solvent selection can be very tame
There's a lot of solvents to choose from and it's not so hard to figure out what works cuz all you really need to do is look up pharmaceutical patents on the invention or synthesis of the specific ester or drug you're looking at and look at what they do in an industrial scale
They often throw out exactly what they do saying which solvent was the most ideal for crashing out and purifying their product
Take that very same principle then scale it down
Simply googling.
"what solvent is ideal for purifying drostanolone enanthate"
Produced the following.
"For the purification of drostanolone enanthate, a mixture of ethanol and butanol is used for crystallization. Specificaly, the ideal solvent mixture for obtaining high-purity crystalline drostanolone enanthate is a 1:1 volumetric ratio of ethanol and butanol."
