Give me a good reason. I’m nice but not that nice

Last night down town right when I got out of my car a kid walks up to me and says he loves my car, and that he was selling candy bars $5 each, to raise money for his football team. Said he needed $40 more then he would be at his goal and could go home for the night, so I gave him $300 he thanked me called me sir and shook my hand, then he went over to someone else and did the same thing.

90% of the time I end up feeling lied to. Still feels good, though. And I’m glad the kid got more donations after mine

same exact thing happened to me in dt chicago. except it was chips and a baseball team. right next to the bean. kid said he needed a last little push to hit the threshold, i gave the amt and declined the chips

security guard comes up to me right after and says, "there's no baseball team" and points to where the kid is now, still within earshot, saying essentially, "havent had a single donation today and im so close to my goal"

honestly respected the hustle and still felt the same

as for a comp, im so close to my goal of 11 vials of test cyp 250 and need one final push to get there...[jk]

It’s about the same as the homeless people do lmao. There’s people in California that like make themselves look homeless and beg for money, they make enough that they don’t have to work. Shits crazy. I prefer working for my money and blowing it all on roids personally.

ive got to imagine the amt of mental and emotional labor of begging and keeping up a facade/story to be roughly equivalent to any normal job. not to mention standing outside for however long to get "donations"

i wonder why they choose that. laziness is an easy answer but it just doesnt seem like the right one in my head

I don’t give them shit. I’m too fuckin busy to stop. Now if we’re in a gas station and they ask me to get them a drink or food, I’ll do that no problem. I ain’t stopping my car and all that bullshit though.

It’s definitely not laziness man. Probably some kind of mental disorder or some shit to be honest. I can’t wrap my head around it myself. I like the way it feels to earn my money though and plus I kind of actually like my job.

Lmao there might not have been. One of the kids we saw later that night looked older than me. Trying to do the right thing never put anyone in a worse position, so it’ll never bother me

Funny story. I was downtown last night and saw some guy getting out of his car. Thought I’d try the classic move. Walked up, told him I loved his car (it was mid, but you gotta commit), said I was selling candy for my football team and only needed $40 more to hit my goal.

Five minutes later he hands me $300, I call him “sir,” shake his hand, and move on to the next target. Great night. Downtown never disappoints.
