Hey guys, so I know they say no eating after HGH injection but my question is what about a protein shake???? Is it just the carbs that create an issue???

I know they say 2-3 hours after no food

Yes, you can certainly have a protein shake. Yes, it’s mainly carbs that interfere with GH not protein. A protein shake by itself is generally fine, depending on timing and what's added to it.

Don’t spike insulin around your GH shot.

Got ya… heard a protein shake 30 mins at night after can actually help growth

Yes, and many include a casein type protein or regular before bed to help with bulking and growth. There is also much to be stressed about the two ways HGh is beneficial to your goals. Avoiding sugar/carbs. So void bananas, and PB, or whatever other fancy ingredients some include.

Most are using it for recovery, IGF increase, and new tissue development. Two different ways to approach HGH based on your goals.

Edit: obvious beneficial fat loss. I didn't initially include this, because in my opinion strictly... You need to already be lean enough to notice the subtle effect. HGH doesn't necessarily rapidly burn fat in my experience, it makes the meals I consume slightly more forgiving.

a casein shake with a bit of added fiber (psilium husk is my go to) should digest slowly enough to keep the insulin spike to a minimum while still giving you that steady drip of aminos while you sleep. or at least that's how i planned it out in my head when i started doing it :cool:

Leucine directly stimulates insulin release. So any full chain protein is going to spike insulin.

No carbs needed for that to happen

If your goal with GH is fat loss..... don't eat before or after.

If your goal is IGF conversion....eat.

GH = lipolysis

IGF = muscle benefits

The more insulin is in your blood, the faster your body will convert the GH to IGF

The more fasted you are (lower insulin), the longer the GH will stay as GH

Injecting GH along with insulin spikes = insulin resistance.... so monitor your shit and run support as necessary

It's a versatile compound.

If you want more fatloss then let the GH circulate for as long as possible.

If you want the igf1 then eat to start the conversion process earlier and to spike the igf1 as high a possible.

Pretty straightforward, use a glp1 to manage insulin sensitivity.
