Storing oils warm during cycle

I started heating my oils before injection and I don’t see myself ever going back. Previously I was using a baby bottle warmer, worked great but I got tired of dealing with the water and emptier vials floating / rolling.

Saw a recommendation here to use a baby wipe warmer which works great but takes considerably longer to heat the oil.

The wipe warmer has 3 settings:

86-95
104-113
122-131

Right now I keep it on the 3rd setting and put the oils in for 10-30 minutes, they are warm by this time but nowhere near 122-131.

What are the dangers to oil longevity if I were to just store my in use vials in the warmer at the 86-95 setting? I have to imagine this will increase oil degradation and reduce its life span.

I haven’t tracked how long it takes me to get through a vial but some of my higher concentration vials can definitely take a few weeks.

just warm it before pinning bro.
get a mug warmer for it to go faster.
you can even put it on a stove if you got an electrical stove. its even faster.

Storing warm just wastes electricity
I appreciate your response and concern for my electricity bill, but, if I don’t need to buy a 3rd warmer I would prefer not to.

It would also be more convenient for me to have the oils up to temperature as soon as I am ready to use them if it’s a viable option.

If it’s not a viable option, yes, I plan to buy a mug warmer.

If you inject at the same time every day or week or whatever:

Keep the oil in the baby wipe warmer and plug it in to a smart plug/smart switch. Set the timer on the smart plug to turn on an hour (or two or three) before the time you inject. Have it turn off an hour after that time.

My man, the best of both worlds. I think this is going to be the ticket.

They'll probably oxidize quickly

backfill insulin pins (keep them upright with a small bubble of air between the stopper and the oil) and keep those in the wipe warmer. can put some stuff like a gel heat pad or whatever to take up space and keep them upright.

that way you get warm oil, but dont have to risk degradation or oxidation of ALL of your oil.

Bought a smart plug, set it up last night and realized my wipe warmer doesn’t automatically turn back on to the previous setting.

The amount of shit I buy for this lifestyle is wild.

Another wipe warmer or just go to a mug warmer..

Wipe warmer isn’t tall enough to store them standing up, also, I wonder how heating the needle would be for the pin itself?

heating the needle big nono

Why not use a smart plug with the warmer? You can set a desired time 30 minutes before you inject each day. Plus you can just turn it on remotely using your phone.
Thank you for making me feel like a neanderthal. My wife bought quite a few for her houseplants, but has an extra one. I’ll have to set it up as seeing it kick on would be a great reminder to prep for the morning.

Apparently Pfizer conducted a study on Test C stored at 104F for six months, and there was no impact on stability. Note that I haven't actually seen the paper, but the data gets referenced various places online.

I store up to a few weeks worth at the warmer's middle setting which goes up to 114F. I haven't personally seen any evidence of degradation.

I searched for this study and couldn't locate it, anyone else have any luck?

Personally I would not store an entire vial in a warmer that I did not intend to use within 3 to 4 weeks. Could prob stretch it to 6 even, but beyond that I would be concerned about oxidation of the oil and degradation of the API, the Prizer paper notwithstanding. For any non-crashed gear I store it at RT and just throw the loaded syringe in the warmer for 5 - 10 mins prior to pinning. Not keen on warming plastic for very long either, but I personally choose that over fluctuating the temp of the contents of the entire vial.

A lot of great discussion in here. I went ahead and bought a mug warmer to round out my collection. I am getting intrigued at the thought of just heating the pre-loaded syringe in the wipe warmer though. Are you using some sort of syringe cap or just heating the needle as well?

I heat the syringe with the capped needle that I use to draw the oils, then when I take it out of the warmer I throw on the needle I use for pinning.

Makes complete sense, thanks brother.

I like the thought of saving a bit of time with pre-measuring the night before and then just throwing it into the wipe warmer in the morning. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to heat up in the syringe compared to the vial. You'd have more surface area directly touching the "heating element" of the wipe warmer with the syringe, though, I'd think glass conducts heat transfer better.
