QSC 100 IU HGH vial lasting way longer than expected - am i doing something wrong?

Hey everyone,
New to HGH and need some advice on vial math. I reconstituted a 100 IU vial with 1 mL bacteriostatic water. Using a 29 g 0.5 cc insulin syringe, I’m pulling 5 units (0.05 mL = 5 IU) daily subQ in the stomach.
• Started Jan 26, now Feb 20 (~26 days).
• Total used: 26 × 5 IU = 130 IU.
• Vial looks like it has a few days left (way more than expected should be empty).
Questions:
1. Should it still have that much, or am I messing up reconstitution/measuring?
2. Is 1 mL bac water correct for clean dosing, or should I use more volume?

This just has much confusion. 100iu vial and only 1ml BAC water to reconstitute? I don't see that being possible. Something isn't adding up.

You're absolutely messing it up guy. Sure the vial concentration is not higher than 100IU?

Probably overfilled. Your math is fine. Did you check the Janoshik and see the exact amount it has? Because you should base your dosing on theJanoshik test amount rather than the amount the listing says. UGL very commonly put extra to make us happy. Another thing is first, make sure your syringes are actually accurate, because some unfortunately are incorrect, no idea how they're even allowed to do that, but it happens. If it was incorrect you might've added 1.1-1.3ml, so it would be 77-91 IU/ml, so your 0.05 ml draw would give 3.85-4.55 IU rather then 5 IU. The powder itself also displaces a tiny bit of volume aswell which can make the final solution slightly more than 1 ml. Another thing is air bubbles, if you're under drawing/not priming the syringe fully, the dead space can leave a micro amount each time so you're not getting the full 5 IU out. If you really want to make sure and are completely confused you can weigh the vial before and after reconstitution.

but theres way too much room for error in such a small volume of a dose, also you're likely losing an iu per dose just in your needle head doing that recon method. Just do 3ML next time, .15ml will get you your desired dose.

Now to answer your question, honestly i don't know. Sounds like you have the work black magic on your hands. Unless again going back to you pulling such a small amount, maybe you're under pulling (.04cc) daily and thats piled up over the course of 20+ days?

OP unless you've got the appropriate equipment our eyes and fingers just arent set up for that kind of precision. not here to yuck yer yum but its possible to do it another, easier, more precise way.

I have no personal experience with 100iu vials.

Everything ive read says it should be fine. Quality of the hgh depending anyway.

Id defer to those with personal experience obviously. And I wouldn't be dosing 5 units anyway lol

My uneducated guess, and I could definitely be wrong, is that the lyophilized powder is contributing to the final volume once it’s dissolved. For example, with a 2400 mg vial of glutathione, I’m consistently able to fill three 3 mL cartridges using only 7–8 mL of bacteriostatic water. I’ve done this dozens of times and it’s always the same result.

Because of that, I’m wondering if the API and any fillers or stabilizers in the vial are adding measurable displacement once reconstituted. In other words, 1 mL of BAC may not equal exactly 1 mL of final solution volume. That’s just my working theory based on what I’m seeing, not a technical answer. I’d be interested to hear if others have measured final volume directly and noticed something similar.

@MadaFacor I think you could be correct, but again, I’m also just theorizing.

On the other hand, 1ml to recon 100ius is retarded. Hell, 3ml for 100ius is equally special. I’m doing 3ml per 40ius and would not go much below that for a myriad of reasons.

Use around 10 ml for 100iu ( think the Jano test showed about 120iu's)
- or try with 5-6 ml, see how milky it becomes as @BALLISTIC stated, and then do your math accordingly....

I have some 50iu's in 10 ml vials - I use 5 ml...

I would only use '1 ml for a approx. 10iu' vial.
