Most of us have a mild cold compaired to this poor guy

Its kinda hard to keep getting down 3000 calories and 5 meals every day with my magnitude of constipation. By day 4 or 5 it gets kinda bad with 20-25 meals sitting in you.

I really need to get a handle on thyroid (and adrenals if they are bad) and hope that will kick start my peristalsis. I also remember seeing some of mobs posts where he complained of going only once a week, and was wondering how he resolved that (i know he used thyroid meds)

Constipation!?!?!? Isn't that your body probably trying to hang on to whatever it can. I bet if you ear right for a while it would come on down regular. Ever hear of oranges, corn, and greens:D.

trust me when I say I have tried everything under the sun to address constipation.....I have been trying to fix it for 2+ years

I still protest to difffer.... If you cant eat 3000 calories in a day, YOU HAVE NOT TRIED EATING... Come on, 3K is a fucking SNACK.........

FYI, Constipation is water related. Not too little , and not too much. Still you eat and its gonna come on thru....

Cant hold 3k in a day??? You must be sensitive to the slightest sign of food making it too your colon[:o)].

Define your constipation. Are we talking waking up in the middle of the night with small intestine type cramps bringing to your knees, OR just cant take a full feeling shit???

By the by, what is "boatman". You are not one of those pretentious cocksuckers that sails peoples boats around to port for them RU? Cause I got some more advise if so......:p

Have you tried laxatives or milk of magnesia? I say you shit your brains out, eat your brains out, repeat.

What does everyone think about this guys thoughts and steps to deal with constipation for hypothyroid people

http://www.johndommissemd.com/page/368514

good advice or quackery? Seems to know his shiz as far as thyroid goes....

Okay I"m jumping back in here, its not your thyroid, its your mind telling you not to do something and not to eat out of fear of getting fat. There is no way your thyroid is not working if you are losing weight, if could be over active, but that would help in your benefit of eating.

Here's a clue, we've all said it Fucking EAT, Eat brown rice, chicken, steak, potatoes loaded with butter, then drink a gallon of water a day. You have the "no shit" [:o)] sorry couldn't help myself, issues because of your food choice, and intake. Screw damn fat at 50% shit, vegetables, it should be protein and carbs at 40% a piece, followed by fat, but you are not in a position to care what you put in your mouth. Breakfast should be 4 eggs with cheese, followed with a steak and hashbrowns. 3 hours later should be Chicken breast with whole wheat pasta, followed 3 hours later by Steak with baked potato, followed 3 hours later by Chicken breast and brown rice, 3 hours later follwed by 3 Hamburgers, then shit a weight gainer before bed. 700 to 800 calories per meal, if you're not doing that, then you are not eating. It doesn't matter if your not hungry from the last meal, eat the next one anyways, followed by the next, and next. Get my point, EAT FUCKING FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's your main problem, getting at least 2500 calories a day isn't even enough for what your body requires.

Let me phrase it like this, when I was 19, my muscle mass, frame, and fat were all tested. I was 5'10 and weighed in at 170, just for my body to function I needed 2000 calories a day just for my body to function. Now add to that exercise, running 5 days a week, weight training. So even if I cut everything else out and just moved through life in my daily activities I still would not have enough calories coming in to even maintain.

In your case, running 50 miles a week, say you were consuming 3000 calories a day, you're still 1000 calories short every day or more. With all that running my guess is you'd burn around 3000 calories a session, add in daily functions, walking, and all other movements, your body is in starvation mode, of course your gonna have issues. You did this for how many years, look at all that damage, its not gonna fix itself in a week, its gonna be at least a year before things get to a normal point for you.

Its was not healthy to run that much. You need to give it time, and slowly add more and more food in every week. It will eventually clear itself up. You might need to get a script for stool softner for a little bit.

I have not been running for 3 years and eating 3000+ calories for 2 years now and it hasn't cleared up. I have tried fiber, blah, blah, blah. I know that it will take time to fix itself but hell yes I am hypothyroid lol. I have the abs and symptoms to show it. The fact that sleep actually refreshes me and I have had dreams every night since starting naturthroid on only 1 grain (which I haven't had for 1.5-2 years) shows its already doing some good. I am even farting now lol. Before I would get the urge to fart and it would never seem to work its way out. Now I am gassing like I was back in the day. Little steps :)

What he said. ITS ABOUT CUMMULATIVE TOTALS WITH RELATION TO TIME AND CALORIES EXPENDED. How do you think people get fat?? Hell, even if you ate that much, breaking it up into many meals is only going to keep you thin and healthy[:o)]

Like I said, 3000 cals is a SNACK.... I probably eat that much once or twice a day when I dont give a shit and putting on fat, then eating round the clock like any other fool. FURTHER, I probably pick up 1000 cals min every time I open the fridge door. Are you getting your sugar supps? Have you even tried eating sugar? There is nothing wrong with it you know. Imagine one sitting at a pizza joint is 2000 cals, then add beer and your up to 3 or 4K. I never trained ANYTHING like that younger, and I would eat entire pizzas just messin around AND STILL STAY THIN... Just put on a backpack loaded with snacks...... You are awfully young to be fucking around with thyroid. SHORT OF A MEDICAL PHYSICAL problem with your thyroid diagnosed PHYSICALLY, you may have a QUACK for a doc. OR you are not telling everything..... Guys your age just dont need thyroid drugs..... You are not telling the whole story TO SOMEONE... Probably everyone. Again, the WHOLE concept needs to apply. You need to take inventory with a Shrink as well. Get the whole thing analyzed objectively and put the solution in PROPER and INFORMED hands, and then obey. I would get second opinions whereever you have been and done. Something is wrong here...

I will ask you the final important quesion with regard to hyperthyroid potential. Do you think your eyes "bugg out" when you look in the mirror. You probably cant tell yourself, so ask friends. Tell them you heard thats what hyperthyroid people look like and get them to tell you honestly. Hypers will usually have an exxagerated bugging of the eyes. Its not weight related. I dont know why. Just do....

Can I get some help interpreting these celiac test reports. I actually went by and got copies of my medical records myself.

gliadin IGG...........13 High (0-10)
gliadin IGA............1 (0-10)

TTG IGA...... <1 (0-4)

ENDOMY IGA.......negative
TOTAL IGA.......139 (44-441)

Results may support a diagnosis of celiac disease but are not specific.

IgG serological markers for celiac isease detected.

AGA IgG elevations with IgA deficiency indicates that celiac disease is probable. AGA IgG elevations with normal total IgA occur in normal individuals as well as other GI conditions. HLA typing may be helpful.

Seems inconclusive but you can trial a gluten free diet and see if that yields results.

Sweet Hesus!!! Are we really going there? I find that diagnosis on a PAR with Fibromyalgia:eek:[:o)]. Come on. To argue this is to state anyone of european dissent is suffering. And cows milk is the modern day plague.

How anyone can argue celiac, without first considering the implications of pesticides, herbicides, general envoronmental contaminants, and media born contaminants, is even more insane than my anti-plastic crusade.

Yea yea, the whole Gluten is "glue" and all. Once your stomach gets a hold of it, there aint much Glue left...

Look up Dogter John on the web if you want to see to furthest out

I am no expert dear friend, but you have quite
high DHEA levels. DHEA and cortisol are antagonistic, correct
guys?

You need to gain weight. How is your digestion besides
the constipation. Do you need lots of toilet paper to
clean your........? If yes, you probably have malabsorption.

If you have celiac disease, it could explain a lot. Because
chronic malabsorption and the fact that you have pushed
your body for years could explain the symptoms you are having.

How is your blood pressure? Do you crave salt?

DO you have emotional issues, anxiety. are you a nervous person?
Do you avoid confrontation or are you a person that doesn´t shy
away for confrontations/discussions/arguments?

For constipation I would try magnesium powder.

Your vitamin d levels seems low as well. Thyroid
hormone increases vitamin D3 if I remember correctly.

Gluten is dangerous stuff. I wouldn't even try to get a diagnosis of celiac. Just go gluten free and see if you feel better. Gluten sensitivity is real and gluten can completely ruin your life if you blindly follow what many doctors will tell you.

If you have lab work showing that you have elevated Anti gliadin antibodies combined with constipation, diahrrea, fatigue, mood disorders, hormonal imbalance, well really anything, giving a gluten free diet a shot ( even temporarily ) can change your life.

I know they are only spot checks, but I have had several serum cortisols at diff times of the day and they are all spot on (still waiting on 24 hour saliva test)

This whole hepatitis thing that you glazed over is a red alert.

You have an entire host of other issues related to hormones/pituituary also.

But this whole hepatitis thing is a major problem.

You just don't get "cured" depending on the type, and your blood work shows obvious signs of liver and kidney issues.

Get yourself somebody who can deal with some fundamental well known diseases, like the Hep etc...and also start to work finding root causes of the other hormone/pituitary issues.

Good luck.

Huh? Celiac is real dude. Not nearly as prevalent as some believe, but it is out there. Also what can trying gluten free hurt?
