Alright as a bunch of you guys already know, UFC 117 is scheduled for tonight August 7th.

So let's hear it fight fans! Predictions?

Here's the main fightcard:

Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen
Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Alves
Clay Guida vs. Rafael Dos Anjos
Matt Hughes vs. Ricardo Almeida
Roy Nelson vs. Junior Dos Santos

I'm picking Silva over Sonnen, Alves over Fitch, Guida over Dos Anjos, Hughes over Almeida, and Dos Santos over Nelson.

This should be a good one!
 
great picks, but my money's on Nelson over Dos Santos.

looking forward to Sonnen having his mouth shut. :)
 
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Nelson win over Dos Santos because I want to see Brock pound Nelson haha [:o)]

nice! hadda run out n missed Sonnen/Silva, just caught the replay after avoiding the internet n tv/radio...not ojnly does Sonnen lose, HE LOSES WITH SHAME! he DID manage to regain his composure after the fight n show some class, but the fact will remain that he TAPPED n THEN TRIED TO CONTINUE THE FIGHT. his hubris was so strong he simply blocked out memory of his own action.

too bad the fight's over at that moment, bcuz otherwise u could just trick ur opponent into loosening his triangle choke. :D

GREAT set of fights tho. i think Silva should have used more sharp elbows from his back...he might be the best around at that n not know it.
 
Im tellin you, just wait and see. JDS WILL beat Brock in impressive fashion. And you seen the fight, Sonnen was workin Silva until the last.

Brock has to get through Cain before he needs to be worrying about that. IMO Cain is a bigger threat to all the heavies than JDS.

Very true. Very very true. Cain is gonna smash on Brock. JDS isnt good enough to beat Cain, but hes got everything it takes and more to make Brock look stupid
 
It was a good card. They all preformed like pro's.

Im not saying it wont happen, but these guys will probably have such a limited time at
the beginning of each round to KO Lestner before he drags them to the ground and
smothers them with size and D1 wrestling.

hey, Silva fought with hurt ribs n relied on vale tudo style bait n switch until it finally paid off...tho if it had been a 3 round fight, he'd have lost a decision for sure. he waited to long to employ his razor sharp elbows from the ground, n was too timid with them when he finally went there. i supposed he was saving energy to pull off a sub, since he was working for most of 5 rounds.

Cain is a bigger threat to Brock than JDS, indeed.
 
I want to see a rematch of Carwin and Brock when Carwin has some cardio under his belt. He was dominating Brock until he gassed and got carefless. Theres nothing I like to see more than 2 monsters battling
