Good Afternoon Board:

I finally received all of the results from my July 5 blood draw. I'm a 38 year old male, 5 foot 6, and weighing 190lbs.

Keep in mind that as of June 20, 2011 my Total T was 252ng.

I have had two injections of Test Cyp at 200mgs. The first one was Thursday June 23, and the last injection that I had was Monday June 27 (leaving approx. 8 days in between last inject and blood draw).

TSH, 0.79 mIU/L (.40-4.50)
Ferritin, 35 ng/mL (20-345)
WBC, 6.7 Thousand/uL (3.8-10.8)
RBC, 4.32 Million/uL (4.20-5.80)
Hemoglobin, 13.7 g/dL (13.2-17.1)
Hematocrit, 40 % (38.5-50.0)
Reticulocyte Count, Absolute, 108000 cells/mcl (25000-90000)
Cholesterol, 215 MG/DL (125-200)
Triglyceride, 331 MG/DL (<150)
HDL Cholesterol, 35 MG/DL (> or = 40)
LDL Cholesterol, Calculated 114 MG/DL (<130)
Cortisol, Total, Serum, 11.8 mcg/dL (AM) 4.0-22.0 mcg/dL (PM) 3.0-17.0 mcg/dL
Progesterone <0.5 ng/mL (<1.4)
Prolactin, Serum 11.4 ng/mL (2,0-18.0)
LH, Serum, <0.2 mIU/mL (1.5-9.3)
FSH, Serum, <0.7 mIU/mL (1.6-8.0)
T4, Total, 5.9 ug/dL (4.5-12.0)
T3, Total 136 ng/dL (76.181)
T3, Free, 3.7 pg/mL (2.3-4.2)
T3, Uptake, 30.7 % (27.8-40.7)
T4 Free, Calculated, 1.8 UG/DL (1.6-3.7)
T4 Free, Non-Dialysis, 0.8 ng/dL (0.8-1.8)
Estradiol, 72 pg/mL (13-54)
PSA, Total 0.4 ng/mL (0.0-4.0)
IGE, Serum 14 kU/L (0-114)
SHBG, 40 nmol/L (10-50)
IGF-3, 2.7 mg/L (3.4-7.0)
Total T, LCMSMS, 708 ng/dL (250-1100)
Free T, 144.4 pg/mL (35,0-155.0)
Vit D, 25-OH, Total, 34 ng/mL (30-100)

Not sure if this has anything to do with hormones, but the two below tests came back elevated:

Wheat (GF4) IGG, 3.1 mcg/mL (Less than 2.0)
Casein/Cow Milk (F78) IGG, 6.0 mcg/mL (less than 2.0)

It appears that even though my Estradiol level is elevated, and my LH and FSH is nil, Total T and Free T numbers look good. My concern is this, if my Total and Free T levels are looking good, how come I don't notice any changes and/or feel any better?

Thanks to all of you in advance,

What di dyour doctor say about the wheat and casein? Looks like you got some food allergies.

Forgot to Include My DHEA...Sorry, There is Just So Many Numbers...

So sorry, but with all these numbers I completely missed this:

DHEA Sulfate, 96 mcg/dL (110-370)

Thanks.....

Am I assuming correctly that we can rule out poor sleep and/or too much drinking?
If so then get an aromatase inhibitor and try it for a week or two, with your doctors approval of course, and lets see if you feel better.
Now on to bigger problems:
Triglycerides and HDL are very good, maybe the best, predictors of atherosclerosis (heart attack and stroke), metabolic syndrome and type two diabetes.
Yours suck.
You have to clean up your diet. Your BMI is >30. Unless you are a mass of muscles you are obese. Your adipose cells are your greatest source of estrogen . While there are difinitely genetic factors at play in obesity there are dietary considerations that can make a whale of a difference. Befor I launch into the speil let me know if I`m on the right track and you are open to it.

titleesq;771007 It appears that even though my Estradiol level is elevated said:
As I said in my post in your last thread, how you feel is very dependent on your E2 level. At least that is my experience. While fat amount will drive E2 levels, I think that your high E2 is because of the high amount of T injected. If you are 700 eight days after your injection, you were probably around 1500 two days after that injection. That probably drove your E2 level up a lot.

It's too bad that we cannot get our hormone levels tested when we felt good to see where our body wants us to be. That would make it a lot easier to get our levels correct after we feel like crap.

zkt:
Thanks so much for the reply bro. My sleep SUCKS, and as far as drinking goes, that is limited to one night a week if at all. You guessed correctly, I'm a fat motherfucker. I went on the Atkins diet for a couple months (just the diet, no exercise), and didn't lose a lb. It was very frustrating. I don't know how this happened, but it seemed like overnight, that I lost all the desire and motivation to hit the gym (I was a regular, going at least 5 days a week), I was in the best shape of my life, and then turned into a blob. This past weekend I started up the cardio for 45 minutes on Sat. and Sun. and plan to keep that up. Trying as best I can to clean up the diet as well. My father was on the very heavy side, as was his father. I'm open to it....Blast away.....

Thanks again......

Get something to help you get a good nights sleep as well as an AI. Temazepam, Ambien, Unisom, benadryl, malatonin-whatever works. I prefer temazepam. Any doctor worth his salt will Rx it given what youve told me and it cheap, if that matters.
The problem with the Atkins diet is that it goes too far for most people. Your goal is to eliminate all sugars, high fructose corn syrup and simple starches from your diet forever: soft drinks, Gatoraide, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes. You will have to read food labels. They put HFCS in almost everything nowadays.
Use only olive oil or butter for cooking and consumption and dont heat it too much. No corn or soy or canola oil.
LOTS of complex carbs in the form of fresh fruits and vegs. This should be easy this time of year. Frozen is ok too. Canned is crap.
Seafood, especially salmon and haddock (fatty fish), pork of all kinds, beef, fowl, eggs. Dont fry the stuff- heat, add a little water and steam if necessary.
Complex carbs such as barley, oats, brans, legumes are good.
Thats it.
Eat as much as you need to fill satiated but dont pig out till your stomach hurts and you WILL lose the fat.
If you want to know why this works get the book "Good Calories- Bad Calories" by Gary Taubes.
There is also a lot of explanation and discussion in the Nutrition forum especially in these threads:

https://thinksteroids.com/community/threads/134306637

Finally, PM me an email address and I will send you the The Complete Notes to GCBC in PDF format. Its only 30 pages and highlights the points that Taubes makes in his book of 600 pages.
You can either eliminate the bad calories all at once as I did or anyway you like. But the faster you shift your metabolism away from fat storage the faster you will burn it away.
Any questions?

His ferritin and Vit D levels are very low as well.

My doctor has me shooting for ferritn level of 150-200 and Vit D close to 100. both my levels are very stubborn to raise.

Thanks for the info. Should I try to supplement those two? If so, with what? What effect will increased Ferritin and Vit D have on this process?

When you boost your ferritin level you'll notice an improvement in your energy level. Boosting ferritin takes some time. I started 11/10. my level was around 35. Now its 126, still low according to my doctor. I take 50mg ferrous Glycinate and 1000mg Vit C at bedtime.

Vit D has many interactions within the body. I don't claim to be a leading mind on this. Here's some info to mull over: Dietary Supplement Fact Sheet: Vitamin D

Probably your biggest problem is the estradiol. Take the advice of the other men and get this under control. I can't help you with this as my E2 is always rock solid at 22.

You may want to have your adrenal function checked with a 4x saliva test.

Do you have studies to support this, Sir? If so, plz share!
