Shipping Androgel internationally - Is it legal?

Hi, I'm using Androgel as a HRT. I have been approved 1 year of treatment here in the USA where I live now, but I have to comeback to my home country (Colombia) this summer.

Is it legal if my friend picks up my medicine every month and attempt to ship it to me to Colombia? I know for a fact that Androgel is a controlled medicine in both Colombia and the U.S. but I just wonder if having a prescription could help.

Any help will be appreciated.

(Additional): I have used only 1 month of the approved treatment which I had to fight for savagely with my insurance, so you could see how important it is for me this possibility.

Also I could not afford the medicine in Colombia, it would be as expensive and I would arrived there jobless and without health insurance.

I am from the US but I live in Colombia now. I was wondering if they sold Andro Gel in Colombia and you mentioned something about that. Do you know for sure if you can buy Andro Gel in Colombia?

From my experience it is harder to get anything into Colombia than it is to get anyting into the US.

I don't know if you can get AndroGel in Colombia, I know there are other brands, but injectable testosterone is more popular there. My case is: I would receive it in the U.S. under my treatment plan and I'm to find out if it can be shipped to Colombia from here.

Yes, I have been through airport security in Colombia and I know how crazy and time consuming it is!

Androgel stopped working for me after 6 months. You will eventually want injectable.
