Is buysteroids.com the cheesiest scam in the history of bodybuilding "supplements"?
I've seen some really pathetic scams in bodybuilding magazines, it's unbelievable the crap they promote. This one, however, tops them all. I remember when I first started hitting the gym-damn my ignorance at the time- going to the gnc supplement store and asking the guy to sell me something that will make me huge [)] Guess what he came up with, you guessed it, a test booster...It cost me over $70. I paid $70 for shitty herbal supplements with no bioavailability, that's almost twice the price you pay for underground dianabol. This website is charging ridiculous amounts of money for vitamins and herbs, it's disgraceful.

Yes it is one of the cheesiest scams but they make a ton of money off new guy's just starting lifting or newbie's working out many times using "like" names of the real stuff, some Herbs do work well for Hormones ( but not like steroids)but the kind these places sell are powdered crap mixed with worthless junk to increase profits, that is why many people get poor results off Herbs they unknowingly buy from crooks selling their herbs with fillers or that are old, Herbs work if not they would not have been used for thousands of years but again if you go down to your local big box store hoping to get Milk Thistle that has been sitting in bottles for a few years you might as well take sugar. I fell into that same trap years ago buying knockoff products to bring up my Bench 50 pounds and wasted a bunch of money while I could have been spending it on something that will increase my Total= calories and Protein.

It was all part of your learning curve that got you to where you are today. No need for the memories to be painful, you made what you thought was the best decision AT THAT TIME. Based on the limited knowledge you had then, you made what you thought to be a good purchase. We've all bought something that we thought was good at the time, only to learn differently later.

Now, the guy that has the knowledge to make a better decision, yet still chooses poorly, THAT GUY should be disappointed himself.

This painfully reminds me of the money I used to waste at GNC.

I recently went to GNC for protein. I asked the girl there what she recommended. She recommended the most expensive one (obviously) and then proceeded to tell me one of the other ones (significantly cheaper) had too much protein per serving. Something to the effect of more than 20 grams of protein is unhealthy. I ended up buying the gold standard powder. I try to avoid the place, but sometimes it's good in a pinch.

If you bring them a printout of the product you want at a cheaper price they will match it. Sometimes you can just use your phone but some of the workers are dbags. Granted I never use them only because I go right to the main supplier

GNC is a fucking ripoff!! I stopped in one last week to pickup some C4 and they had it at $53.99 for the small tub! Vitamin Shoppe has it at $25.99. Needless to say I left and drove the extra 5 minutes.

GNC markets to a certain clientele that doesn't traditionally include "us". They rely on their business from casual fitness fans who are often looking for recommendations and suggestions from the staff at GNC, or the soccer mom just looking for a product that Oprah suggested. They know that there is NO WAY that they can compete, pricewise, with the online retailers selling supps, so they don't even try. They shoot for the 'higher profit per customer, but fewer customers' model versus an online retailer that ships 800 orders per day, making a much smaller profit on each order.

GNC sometimes has good deals, but rarely. For the most part everything is cheaper online.

Last time I was there the kid tried to tell me that the optimum nutrition whey I was buying was crap, and I should buy the Gnc brand. I just rolled my eyes.
