HCG glass ampule risks ?

Whenever you breal open a hcg glass ampule is there any risks of pieces of glass getting inside the solution and then you injecting that into you it just hit me today when i cracked opened the ampule im like dam what if such a risks does it exist and if this is possible is there risks to worry about ? anyone with some knowledge about this ? id apprecate it.

One should always use a blunt big needle with filter to suck the liquid from glass ampoule to syringe, and then switch to the actual needle that you use to inject. That applies to all glass ampoules. That is WHY there are the blunt needles with the filters in them. Google "blunt filter needle".

Dont get me wrong, im all for filter sterilization. But the contents of the ampule should be sterile and the solvent you're using should be sterile. So the time it takes you to draw the solution up into a syringe isn't going to be a big deal. Plus filtering that solution is going to reduce how much you have by at least .1-.2 mL.

The filter in a blunt filter needle is NOT for sterilization. It is to keep the microscopic shards of glass (from ampoule breaking) not to get sucked to the syringe and then injected to body. At least in my country it is normal procedure in medicine to use the blunt filter needle with glass ampoules.
