I have a question about home brewing formulas. What is the formula that is used to decide how many ml's you will get from the powder?

Lets use this one for example.

Test Cypionate
Powder: 5 grams
Produces: 20 ml @ 250 mg/ml

Requirements:
5 grams testosterone cypionate
15.25 ml sesame oil
Benzyl Alcohol 1 ml 5% BA

If you want to make 100ml, do you just multiply by 5?

25gm test cyp
76.25ml oil (which is better sesame or grapeseed)
5ml BA

Is this how its done? I cant seem to find a mathematical formula that shows how they come up with the conversion.

yes.. but honestly.. powders these days don't seem as pure as they once were and test Cypionate is very, lets say tempermental.. It crashes quite easily.. I can not tell the difference between it and Enanthate when injected. But they are miles apart as far as making them.. Test Enanthate holds very easy as compared to Cypionate.

also.. It's doubtful your experiment will work with just the BA ..
as I mentioned.. it's the hardest long estered powder to work with IMO

Bass is correct. Cypionate is probably the hardest to make because it crashes so easy. I wouldnt even attempt to make it at 250mg/ml, I would go the 200mg/ml route.

Appreciate the response. I was just trying to figure out how a person would know what to use when brewing 50ml compared to 100ml. Bass said you just double it. I grabbed that as an example. I already have all of his recipes and I want to start brewing very soon.

In the calculator that bass pointed to he said he always uses
BA 2% and BB 18%. The calculator is set to default at .85 for powder weight but bass plugs in .75.

These are the things I am trying to figure out so I will have a better understanding of what to do.

For example, some people say that GSO is smooth and causes almost no pip. Some people say its the BA that causes no pip. Too many responses confuses others (I am confused).

I looked at basskiller online and looked at a lot of articles. I have not read them all. but you know questions arise.

Test Cypionate

Powder: 5 grams
Produces: 20 ml @ 250 mg/ml

Syringes 3cc & 5/10cc
18 or 20 gauge needles
Vial
Sterile Vial
Whatman sterile filter
Procedure:
measure 5 grams of powder
place the powder in the vial
add BA to the vial
heat the oil in a suitable container in the oven to a minimum of 212 degrees F to sterilise it (it will likely be necessary to use slightly more oil than listed as you will not be able to utilise all of it)
add the oil to the vial but save 2 ml of oil in the syringe for later
gently shake the vial.
reheat the mixture if necessary by placing the vial in a frying pan and place it on the eye of the stove
place an 18 or 20 gauge needle in the sterile vial and attach the Whatman sterile filter
place another needle in the sterile vial to relieve the pressure
draw out the solution with a syringe and run it though the Whatman filter
take the other syringe with 2 ml of oil (saved previously) and run it through the Whatman filter into the solution.


I wanted to make cyp @250 but you guys are saying that it will crash @250.

this cant be right? i dont know what im seeing here.

for 50ml at 250mg/ml you need
oil: 28,21ml
powder: 12,5gr
ba: 1ml
bb: 9ml

You don't need peg 400 for dbol
Dbol is fine just in 190 alcohol
That's how i do it anyway
