Just another brilliant story put out by some dumbass researchers and writers.

Last year there were a couple of studies showing pretty scary percentages of users. Even freshman in high school. I dont see how they could get accurate results though. How many high schoolers are going to be truthful? They just fill in circles but the use is definitely there

Being someone who is only a few years out of high school, I can say the use is definately there but as far as the comment "Even those that test for marijuana and cocaine do not check for steroids, which are potentially more destructive." as stated in the article, I don't see how steroids can be more harmful than cocaine. The fact is though, these kids are starting too young, and not giving their bodies time to reach their natural potential. Something needs to be done, whether it is testing or schooling on the effects of steroid use at such a young age.

1 in 30? Bullshit

Agreed. In my HS that would have been 133 people on juice. I went to a big HS that was quite competitive in athletics and the potential for D1 scholarships was high. In fact, the tackle who played opposite of me is now on the Giants and my QB played in the pros but was subsequently dropped.

Even with all of this, there was very little AS usage. None that I know of, though some was speculated. Quite frankly, that would have been ~60% of all the male athletes.

Now, if the AS usage in a huge highscool with actual potential was low, that should mean that athletes in bumblefuck certainly aren't using. Not to offend anyone or anything, but let's face it, athletes from 400 person schools are much less likely to play anywhere of repute in college.

So, in conclusion, we can see that these statistics are plain fucked up.

I bet the people that took the survey don't know what is considered to be a 'steroid'. I bet there are a bunch of kids that took Cell Tech and thought creatine was a steroid, and as such filled out the survey as having taken steroids. And so on and so forth, odds are if something seemed like a steroid to them, they filled out the survey as having done it. That seems like a logical explalination to me,......

yep bullshit...it took me for ever to find legit juice...really tough to get in high school

I paid $250 for a 10cc bottle of brovel test my junior year in HS and was too scared to take it so I sold it to someone else! How things change...

LOL I was off work when i first joined this site and came on every morning, otherwise i'd be right at where you are.... I know guys who still use Deca only cycles, but most prefer to use a Test, with it. Deca was like gold when i was in highschool. I remember when my friend was holding some for another guy who was a little older than us,and my friend took a few of us down his basement to show us the 2ml vials. When he opened the box,it was like when Indiana Jones finds one of those precious jems Lol We all stood around with our eyes and mouths opened.. AAAAAAHHH OOHHHHHHH :) We never got to use any, though. Test and D-bol were the only things we really ever knew about, and i only did 1 cycle when i was 18 and then didn't do another for 5yrs

some funny shit bro, I think pretty much of all of us here have almost the same story when we first experience AAS. I did my first cycle with just d-bol and was 17 they were ther blues and we stold them out of someones car at the gym. my next cycle was 15 years latter,

Ha yeah the German blue in the little plastic bottle with the metal top. Those were the ones back then. I tried to get some of those when i was 23 in Tijuana and they were fakes. They had a plastic top instead of the metal, but i didn't even know they were fake, until my friend told me. he had the book written by Bill Phillips, and that's when i really started to learn about aas.

i don't understand why the media & the pres are targeting AAS users; i think it's ludicrous-there are many other pressing more important issues to be delt with.

I only wish that i would have taken AAS in HS. (mite be a step ahead of where i am now) I went to a small HS and there wasn't many guys seriously into lifting. my best friend and i both started traning when we were like 13 or 14; then when we were in HS we hung out, and would be accused of using juice cuz we were bigger than everyone & where friends..which no one else worked out consistently. i trained year round would get a little fat in winter and then cut up a little in summer & took ass loads of glutamine, creatine, andro, amino..and have good genetics(dads musclular still)etc ppl would say look they are friends and they are big...the only way they coud get that big is juice...couldn't do it natural..jr year i was like 215&lean...senior year i wrestled hwt...bulked to 255 :D but was fat & bloated (obviously not really impresive)

We were both totally against using and thought of it as cheating. And we heard only the mass-generated stereotypical ignorance that circulates about AAS. i used to get so pissed when ppl would accuse me or my friend of using, got in a few altercations (if was acused)..which then they would cry roid-rage after the fact

ironically my senior year in a persuasive writing class i wrote a 10page research paper arguing against steriod usage. But while researching i educated myself on the topic and continued researching it...the irony is that my best friend and i currently use and LOVE the benefits of AAS.

sorry for rambling just my .02

LOL sad thing is it's likely not far from the truth.

statistics

Besides it is very e-z to manipulate statistics.

in my bussiness classes, (ethics, accounting, economics, marketing..etc) they teach that it is very to formulate your stats to make your product or argument seem correct or the right. For instance th hhs that they surveied might have had 100 students 1 out of every 30 would be 3-4students, they might have worded the ? as "have you ever used anabolic steriods or any other performance enhancers?" the student might have considered protein or niacin or a multi as a performance enhancer. N-E-Who it is very E-Z to cater stats to the opinion which you desire the reader to accept.

(they teach us this as a way to introduce business ethics and show us that it is wrong--but i'm usually thinking, "sweet-thats a great idea)
