12 months testosterone cycle 500mgs

Hey guys, anyone here stayed on test only 500mg for 12 months? Is this stupid? How was recovery? My mate recently just jump off an almost 2 year cycle 500mg test with no pct, I keep telling him to get blood work done but he hasn’t but he looks like he’s losing hella gains. Is 12 months at a dose of 500 too long for the body to recover? I know it’s hit or miss. What you guys recon?
Your kidding right? Oh boy

If so… my ferritin would be in the single digits and at some point I’d lose all gains made. My TRT dose of 200mg a week has my ferritin sub 30. Shit sucks. Trying to fix it though.

Most semi-competitive powerlifters, strongmen, weight lifters and even most bodybuilders rarely come below 500mg - or atleast not in the circle I move in.

Fuck, I dont think ive been below 500mg for nearly 5 years now....
What’s a normal cycle like for you?
Have you been blasting the entire time and just rotate compounds? Or do you drop down to a 500 test cruise?

It generally depends what sport I'm competing in at that time - power lifting, weight lifting, highland games or tabbing. "Blasts" typically anywhere from 1 - 2g. Tend to favour high test + moderate anabolic. Orals as needed.

Come down to around 500mg during periods of not competing or when tabbing/cycling/non-strength sport. Usually a mix of test & a mild anabolic during these periods.

500 test. Bro firstly the conversion to E2 will be insane which means unless your actively taking an AI which is harsh on liver it’s just dumb

I'm having the same issues with low ferritin, on the same TRT dose as you, 200 mg/week. Last year, my ferritin dropped as low as 12 ng/mL, and I had to get an IV iron infusion because oral iron supplements didn’t help.

How are your hemoglobin levels?

For me, even when my ferritin was as low as 12, my hemoglobin remained normal, which puzzled my doctor. We're still trying to figure out the cause, as she isn’t convinced that TRT is responsible.

Might be at the point where I need to get an iron infusion. I’ve been taking an iron supplement E0D (wrecks my stomach no matter what type) so maybe my ferritin is a tad higher. I’m no longer drop dead exhausted & my libido is back. Still pale and weak/flat.

Prior to all these issues my RBC/Hemo was very elevated. Probably from a 5-6 week cycle that I had to cut short because my ferritin crashed. Felt amazing the first 4 weeks and then boom! Extremely fatigued. Wasn’t putting size on or anything. Basically the reverse started happening.
Had to do a double red donation to drop them & hydrate like crazy.

Now my levels are fine. Nothing elevated in my labs.

Ferritin on end of that cycle was 16 & then another time 13.

Off cycle I’ve never broke 30 ferritin.
Doctors don’t give a shit. “You’re in range”
Naturopathic/hematologist is the next step. My PCP and Endo didn’t give a shit I’m 6’3 230 with 13 ferritin. The levels of a tiny anemic woman.
Seems it hits some people hard. And others it doesn’t do much. On TRT or blasting.

And low ferritin takes MONTHS to raise.
Worth checking if you have a copper deficiency too.
