.22 Filtering

Curious if anyone has ever re-filtered their oils from a trusted source with a .22um syringe filter?

If your sourcing high quality products you trust do you think it’s beneficial to extract the oil from the UGL vial into a large syringe, put a .22 filter on that syringe, and the reinject it into a fresh vial just to be extra sure?

Since high quality UGLs already do this are you just introducing more potential for contamination by doing it again yourself without a full sterile set up like a vent etc, or is it a low risk good extra precautionary measure?

Also has anyone ever tested their products for continuation with blood agar plates?

I see a lot of great posting lately on filtering finished oils. Decided to make a thread to hopefully consolidate all the great info in one spot.

My knowledge is somewhat amateur on this topic, but what I know so far is that for the average user buying 10ml UGL finished oils a PTFE 0.22 13mm Is likely the best choice.

If you have good info on filter types, brands, techniques, etc. I want to know!

It's such an easy and cheap thing to do that it's just lazy and reckless not to filter your non-pharma products.

God no. You filter entire vials at a time. I believe 1 PTFE .22 um filter is good for 10 vials.

Edit: That's in 1 sitting. If you don't have 10 vials to filter, discard the filter afterwards regardless. Do not save for later.

Bro I was filtering 234iu of gh reconstituted .5mls of Bac water per 39iu vial with a 3cc shit spewed all over my face after pushing like 2 ccs through I guess i was pushing to hard. I guess I shouldn't have put a needle on the end and took the stopper off and just pushed the solution into the vial. I even had a needle through the stopper to vent it and I was going pretty slow

Are the filters sterile? You can def get them sterilized and not. The sterile ones are always individually wrapped/sealed FWIW.

Damn! How much GH are you pinning a night and why filter it? It’s such a delicate peptide that can do more damage than good.

Were you using the correct filter? When filtering water based peptides, the filter flows really fast and you shouldn't have a lot of back pressure especially if you were venting the vial with a 2nd needle.

I know bro just taking extra precaution given all the stuff that's going on with hybs recent testing lmfao and 10ius I bought 6 kits so not a bad loss but still enough to make me not do it again it was pretty much 90ius lmao

Brooo! Lmao I’d cry honestly hahahaha. For what it’s worth been using generics for over a year and no filtering and no issues granted mine have all tested out above 99%

Ohh bro I was pissed i yelled fuck! Really loud and my wife was like what happened lmao I said a bunch of gh just blew all in my face ahaha.

Before I even ordered i requested testing then they sent me black top testing which was really good so they made it seem like they were sending black and they send yellow instead and they have some other test out for the yellows that tested at 41iu 97 purity to much bs going on with this so I was like i need to filter this shit lol.

I got some 125iu QSC otw that I won't filter
