2200+ Gym Total. Road to 2300 @275 AMA

Figured I might as well bump this thread with training updates.

squat is feeling amazing- prep has me ready for a 775 double coming up within a week or two.

bench is feeling absolutely amazing- definitely the best out of the big 3. Should be taking 605 for a competition paused double in 2 weeks.

deadlift has been feeling rough, however 750x2 should still be within reach. It might be a grinder while the other 2 are approx RPE 9

Hoping for a pretty big total after this training cycle. Body weight in the low 270s. Trying to get to 280-290 before finding a meet and cutting. I believe 23-2400 is possible if I achieve this weight the way my strength has been increasing.

If I can help at least one person with this thread I’ll be happy

I’m following along. You gave me good advice on my one benchpress video and I’ve probably read it over a hundred times. I’ve noticed a big difference and I can’t wait to see what I hit
end of November/ early December.

hahah the god has spoken again! my biggest problem is how to program a block or a phase! I dont know how should i proceed lol. I can make some videos (SBD FORM) and show my last programs. I think it s called abusing your kindness haha if it s overdone

I’m excited to see your progress! Feel free to DM me or post here so I can try to make minor adjustments as we move along as well.

I can help program a block for you if you’d like- there are MANY ways to do it. You’ve just got to figure out what works best for you. As for form- I’m always down to help! I love helping people and hopefully can continue to do so here
@Feppen
Can you explain a little more how you came to the decision to come completely off? Are you still doing this even with those bigger gear cycles?
I’ve always done so, and I found I generally don’t lose much depending on the duration I’m completely off for. My mind set is this- if you blast at 500mg and cruise “TRt” whatever at 100-250 your body gets accustomed to your cruise. YOU mentally get accustomed to your cruise. When you blast again at 500mg you’re only increasing your weekly intake by 250mg. Aka pretty much a cruise for a natty. You might not necessarily get less out of it. But like I said- lifting is extremely mental. The first cycle anyone has ever ran is generally the absolute best when it comes to how you feel mentally- people are too scared to come off and allow their levels to balance again. IMO if you’re young you should ALWAYS come off. Maybe in your 30s TRT and blast etc. I hate when people cruise at 250. I even know people who cruise at 500ish and blast at 1g.
TLDR : I always come off. Even with large cycles

Yes I'm in my 30s and I'm considering cruising at 600 test but my blasts will probably be more like 1.5-2g of gear but my experience so far has been just doing cycle after cycle so this is the first time I've even considered cruising.

I would highly advise against that- that’s a whole lot of gear. I’d be worried about your health at those numbers.

I wanna compete and I know these mother fuckers putting up heavy totals arent doing 1g or less a week to get there!
If you're going to cruise. Start with less. I'm in my mid-40s and I cruise at 150-200 mg, depending upon what I got going on, and although I lose a little strength, it bounces right back on the next blast. 600 mg is way too much.

I think gear usage has a lot less to do with producing an elite level total than most people would think. I would be willing to bet most that reach an "elite level" could've done so or come close to naturally.
I kinda see it like if you got the drive it carry you to where you wanna go. I mean I'm a firm believer in diet, work ethic, programming, etc. Gear in my opinion is the glass ceiling

I have spoke about my gear usage in the past- I had a 21-2200 total before ever breaking 1g a week. This is simply moving me towards the 23/2400 mark. I’d highly advise against taking a ton of gear. Even if you’d like to compete. Then again- I don’t know your age, current lifts, nutrition, programming, etc. a lot has to do with it.

For sure. I've been cruising at 150mg for the majority of this year and I'm down maybe 10% strength and it's still slowly creeping back up. With long low dose cruises I notice muscle mass loss more than strength loss.

How's your bench currently? Whenever I do blast again I feel like I'll be going into it stronger than I've ever been coming from a cruise.

Good to hear and same here. That 450 lb bench is going up for one of us in the next 6 months!

I was getting over the quad strain so I didn’t have any leg drive but now that it’s near 100% I’m feeling stronger than ever. Focusing way more on form and getting that leg drive.

I’ve also been doing a lot of tricep and lat accessory work, and focusing on explosive speed - doing all of my working sets with a competition pause.

If anyone would like my 9 week bench program I’d be more than happy to share. I’m currently on week 5, about to start week 6 and have increased my 2 rep max by 10lbs(week 5) at RPE 8. Will hopefully increase it by a total of 30lbs at around RPE 9. I’ll be increasing my 1 rep by around 7-9% depending on how my singles go during week 7,8,9. Each week of singles will be a PR.

Yes definitely!

@Feppen
Im 33 240lbs 5'10". I'm currently running juggernaut. My lifts aren't that good. Only a 1175 total haha! I eat 4000 calories a day which is roughly 500c 133f 200p. I'm running 900test c and 900 npp it might be deca tho haha. So obviously for all I'm doing something isn't lining up!

I really think you can get by with lower doses than that for right now. You want longevity in this. What would your cycles look like at 38 when you’re bigger and have a 1500 total? That 900 mg of NPP/deca is pretty high.

So does any resenitization happen when you cycle? I've heard both ways. One, that your body resensitizes and two that you have to increase doses over time or you won't get any response. I mean I've heard of different people running 3-5g in a cycle! I've even heard more than that but not very often
