25 guage pins recommendation

A glad sandwich bag, you know... I put the bottle in the baggie to keep it sterile and away from the hot water. The heat gets through the plastic well enough, and my bottle never gets wet or the rubber stopper 'polluted' with impurities.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I really want to make sure anything I stick in my body is clean, even if it's just a needle has to go through that bottle top, I want that bottle top sterile.

LOL...

I just meant the glute... WHERE on the cheek didn't cross my mind, but thanks for that edumacation!

If we all knew each other better I'd take a chance and make a joke, but it's fairly risque, so I'll save us all the possible misunderstandings and testosterone irritation. I have to laugh at how irritable I get sometimes. It seems to come in waves, when a lot of things go wrong at once.

But once you recognize it, it does become funny too. Weird to be irritable and laughing at the same time.

By "ass", we mean hip bro.
We don't stick ourselves in the middle of the ass cheek.

Interesting... but with this oil, it's different I think, cause it's sooo viscous. It takes me a while to inject, so not much pressure. Maybe it's just my technique, or lack of finger strength at that angle, but it takes me at least 30 seconds to get that plunger down (2 cc's)... I never have any pain, so whatever I'm doing works...

I guess that none of you guys accept the observation that "Using higher gauge (thinner) needle may cause more trauma because they have a narrow bore producing a jet under higher pressure."

"Needle length and gauge: The selection of length of the needle depends upon the age of the child, the size of the muscle and SC mass over the muscle. For VL needles of 16 mm, 22 mm or 25 mm, for deltoid 16 to 32 mm and for VG 25 to 38 mm length are used. It has been found that longer needle with the same gauge was associated with significant reduction in redness and swelling following routine immunisation(30). It is because medication is sure in the muscle. For general biologicals and medications in aqueous solution, 23 g to 27 g and for viscous and oil based medication, 18 g to 23 g needle is used. Using higher gauge (thinner) needle may cause more trauma because they have a narrow bore producing a jet under higher pressure. So for immunisation 23 g needle is preferred over 25 g(30)."
