if you've never tested igf1 before how do you know 2 iu is noticeablely more than natural production? CuriousAs someone slightly younger than you, 2iu is noticeably more than I'm naturally producing. I have never tested igf-1 levels though.
I only started GH for the first time about 1.5 years ago. Before that was only secretagogues. The first thing was my skin. It was noticeably better than usual. Better than peptides even at 2iu. The second was recomp effect with loss of body fat. This effect was less than peptides at 2iu. Before starting, I did look up a few studies testing this. It backs up 2iu being over replacement for men my age.if you've never tested igf1 before how do you know 2 iu is noticeablely more than natural production? Curious
Thanks man appreciate your input....I'm keen to run it for a few weeks at 2iu and then go and get my igf-1 tested again.I only started GH for the first time about 1.5 years ago. GH gave me insomnia at first so I couldn't go higher than 2iu. I titrated up to 3.5iu fine later, and just saw more of the same benefit.
I've seen it thrown around a lot that 2iu is a replacement dose. I'd like to hear from people in the 30s or older group that have been on 2iu for at least a few weeks and not noticed anything.
If you're trying to grow, 2iu is definitely too low. For a 35yo+ feel good trt dose, IMO it's a perfect starting dose.
Im actually surprised my igf-1 was at 250.....there is if course the idea that my labs testing isn't super sensitive and in fact my igf results could be off by margin of Xyz.2 IU might actually reduce your already high baseline IGF. 2 iu is a "replacement" dose for those who need it, like people with IGF below or in the early 100s. With 250 baseline i wouldn't bother with less than 4 IU per day.
Thanks man. I'm only one week in so plenty of time still to goI only started GH for the first time about 1.5 years ago. Before that was only secretagogues. The first thing was my skin. I'm in Australia/ new Zealand so we have different testing companies here....i just asked for a test for my igf-1 was about $70What IGF-1 are y’all testing… mine from Quest, (IGFBP 1) is <5 with a normal range of 5-34 ng/mL…
Where you got the HGH from?I'm 50 years old. Before I started taking HGH, my IGF-1 level was 217. I've been taking 2 IU for 6 weeks and haven't noticed any improvement. My sleep has actually gotten worse. My fasting blood sugar is between 96 and 122. I think it's messing up my system. I'll take it for another 2-3 weeks and then have a lab test done.
@Kaching you are taking rHGH and secretagogues on the same day? Doesn't rHGH shut down your pituitary? What's the expectation with CJC+IPA?
I'm looking to use 2 IU as well. Would you clarify on how the dose may reduce the baseline IGF? I'm still learning about all this. I’m not an expert to write down medical terms but I’ll try to explain it. By using exogenous hgh you downregulate your pituitary gland, you basically stop producing hgh. If your pituitary was producing more than the exogenous amount of hgh you’re planning to use, guess what..I'm looking to use 2 IU as well. It’s like with testosterone. If you give to a natty healthy man with normal total testosterone for example 50-70mg of exogenous test per week he’s going to end with crashed levels.
