2mg Semaglutide - by Mistake !

Partner has done 2mg as first ever dose, rather than 0.2g at around 9pm yesterday

Felt sick by 1am, violently vomiting at 3am and feels alike absolute crap all day today

We are assuming this is the Semaglutide, but there was a re-heated dinner at 7pm so small chance it’s not.

Assuming it’s is, I’m guessing that it will settle down in the next 72 hrs as the dose wears off and although it’s towards the maximum end of doses it’s not an actual overdose ( albeit it should be “built up” to that level)

Anyone do / experience the same ?
Any advice ?

Much appreciated

By my calculation
Initial does 2mg
Day seven 1mg
Day 14 .0.5mg
Day 21 0.25 mg

So given the starting dose should be around 0.25mg it will be Day 28 before we consider another dose and that will depend on BW
No thats not how it works …. It should ALL be out of her system by day 7. Half life is 7 days regardless of the dose .
Starting dose 0.25mg every week for 4 weeks and it doubles every subsequent 4 weeks unless a dose keeps you suppressed you can stay on it until it doesn’t .
Good luck

To updated , all worked out in in the end with no long term effects. Basically a rough first week and everything tapered off from there to normal over the next two weeks

Thanks to everyone who chipped in with reassurance etc - much appreciated

I've taken an entire 5mg vial from QSC all at once, granted with heavy tolerance, as near the end you're forced to bump up the dose to maintain efficacy for the hunger suppression due to tolerance, but your partner would've be fine, relax, it isn't a big deal, 2mg is within normal dose ranges. Wegovy is 2.4mg at once. Even with no tolerance, she would've been okay.

naa, people have died from NORMAL doses... some people have horrible reactions to sema and also have kidneys shut off or severely damaged. some peoples guts stop moving and it kill them on dr rx doses. MOST that doesn't happen...but some people get sick for weeks on the starting dose.

to not take the drug seriously is very stupid and leads to stupid things happening like injecting whole vials, or addictive behaviour wanting to basically stop eating.

Jesus yeah be careful with how loud you're saying stuff like that. There are good reasons to worry. Some people react terribly to this stuff and not necessarily at high doses. A buddy of mine here in town got a bowel obstruction on 0.5mg prescribed ozempic.
Anyways the main thing is I don't want someone to read this thread and think it's cool to skip the taper altogether and just hammer 2mg right off the bat, thinking the odds are in their favour that they'll be fine. The odds are that they'll be sick as hell from it, at least temporarily.
