Wouldn't you be far weaker?
I think this would work for some people.

I like to pre exhaust my chest before I bench press. I find that while I can't push nearly as much, the mind muscle connection is much better and I get better results.

I generally do my major compound lifts early in my workout. Although every now and then I will change it up and I always enjoy the change. I don't know that I could do it like that every time tho.

For whatever reason I never got a damn thing from doing face pulls. I always felt like off was more of a balancing act for my body to maintain form rather than activate my rear delts

Same. The only way I feel these is to go very light and high rep, so I just opt for other excercises for rear delts and skip the facepulls.

An alternative to facepulls is lie face down on an incline bench set to about 30 to 45 degrees. Using DBs, move in a similar motion to a facepull, pulling the weight with the rear delt as much as possible.

Pre exhausting the rear delts is a great method to really connect to the muscle. People struggle to "feel" the rear delts after diving straight in with heavy presses.
Pump some blood in there with any isolation movement first & really connect to the muscle. I love cables for this & reverse pec deck. Light weight & constant tension through a full range of motion!
