What do you MMA fans think? Will this one be worth watching?

I think I'll probably end up buying this UFC fight simply because it's a fight that I've wanted to see for a very long time.

This is a tough call, I think ortiz is the obvious fav here but lidell could do it. these guys worked so much together they both know their strengths and weaknesses so well. should be good.

I've got Lidell winning the fight. Tito will be too afraid to stand with him and he'll play right into Chuck's hands.

I'm interested in Arlovski v. Sylvia. I don't think Tim will be retaining the belt.

Really? I think Tim Sylvia will be walking out with his hand raised.... This should be a hell of a fight though...

How about Cabbage and Big Mike? I'm take'n the Hawaiian...

Tim Sylvia took steroids and anyone who takes steroids is a loser so he is going to lose. nanner nanner nanner :D

Arlovski is scary. Somebody (cant remember who) has my UFC tape with Arlovski's last fight and all I remember is, he destroyed the guy in probably a minute. Now Sylvia is taller, and probably weighs more....but hell, that is not all good weight that he is carrying. Matter of fact, I would have expected Arlovski to bomb out on the piss test before sylvia....anyway, hopefully Tim has a strong chin, otherwise, the canvas may become his best friend for the night.

With respect to tito and liddell...I dunno, how hard does Tito punch? I mean, I know that he made a mess of shamrock but does he punch harder than randy or say someone like a dan henderson? If so, and if he has his wits about him, and if he hits chuck square, chuck may end up losing...maybe not an ass kicking but spending some time on his back and losing on points. Then again, is Tito a really good wrestler? I would think Randy was a better wrestler and chuck stood up when randy took him down....the only guy that I remember putting chuck on his back and keeping him there was rampage and I dont think he even has a college wrestling background.

Ultimately, what I realize is, I cant call it but ultimately, I guess it really doesnt matter who wins as long as I am entertained. For me, its not like watching a Mark Kerr fight or something where I want the guy to win, I do not know either ...hell, I dont know any of the 4 guys that we're talking about.....so as long as there are 2 good brawls, I'll be satisfied.

As far as paying for the fight....I'm thinking about ponying up the coin since it will take months for UFC to put a DVD out.

I'm kind of an Ortiz fan.. But I've loved to watch Chuck fight... I'm a little torn as to who to cheer for.. but I think I'm going to be pulling for Tito.. But In my heart, I believe that CHuck is going to win this thing..

wrt arlovski.. he can fight.. but I wan't impressed with his striking.. in the last fight I saw him.. and IIRC he's got 3-4 losses, and He is a fighter that once he gets behind he just plays defense..and isn't real great at making up ground..if he gets a leg up early he'll win..but if he gets frustrated or takes a couple of good shots early I believe that he will lose

Well, here is what I am hoping for in the Ortiz/Liddell fight...a double KO/double retirement. I am not a fan of either fighter by any means. Tito is too cocky and Liddell is too white trash. If I had to pick my favorite for this match, I want Liddell to win. He always steps up to fight anyone, and doesnt bitch about not making enough money (meanwhile fighters like Baroni and Murray get tons of dough, and they simply suck. Dont get me started about the treatment of Lindland and Horn either...)

I actually want Tim Sylvia to win. I am a fan of the Miletich Camp in general, as they put out some amazing fighters. (I am a huge Jeremy Horn, Matt Hughes and Jens Pulver fan). Besides, I refuse to support Arlovski because he lost to Ricco because of strikes. C'Mon...

Robbie Lawler again because of my pension for the Miletich Camp. Also because Nick Diaz is a Gracie Black Belt, and the only Gracies I have respect for are Renzo and Royler, mostly Renzo. Plus, my old instructor sort of has something against the Gracies, and that spills over to me.

Edwards because I support Texas fighters. Plus, one of the guys I used to be friends with introduced me to him, and he was a cool guy.

Sudo because I like the BHJJ Club and sherdog faggots need something to talk about.

That is who I WANT to win. Here are my actual predictions:

Ortiz over Liddell (via decision or TKO late)
Tim Sylvia over Andrei Arlovski (KO or TKO early)
Diaz over Lawler (Submission - Lawler is sloppy)
Edwards over Franca (KO or TKO Rnd 2)
Sudo over Brown (Submission - Sudo is simply more experienced)

Thats my 2ccs.

No way! You've been smoking the opium too long, my friend. ;) Diaz will not do shit against ANYONE in the UFC...EVER! Both he and his little buddy "The Scorpion" are so far out of their league it's silly. Diaz will wake up with a Ouano tattoo on his face.

Diaz is slick as hell, but he's not all that great on his feet. Lawler can prevent the takedown, so I do believe he'll come out the victor.

You are right about Diaz's standup. GOD FORBID A GracieJJ GUY LEARNS TO THROW A PUNCH!! IT MIGHT RUIN THE PURE GRACIE ART!! BLAH BLAH!!
Anyways, I really do hope Lawler beats Diaz into another dimension. I just see Lawler getting over aggressive and getting caught with something. But we will see. You may be a wise emperor indeed...

I think Tito will lose. Two facts; #1, both trained together at a point in time (yes a long time ago but both are better now), #2, This fight means the world to Chuck, he'll do whatever it takes to win.

I think Tim will win. Arlovski used to be passive but it seems he's changed (judging from his last fight). However, we simply can't judge from one fight.

I believe that Pedro can defeat Tim.

I'm not interested in the rest of the fights other than the Sudo fight, the guy is a real entertainer, i think (and hope) he'll win.

Yeah, I wish they put out mover heavyweights/superheavyweights. It has to be a wonderful feeling to step in the ring knowing the guy is a walking punching bag who can defend himself with nothing but easily preventable submissions.

Maybe if I was a small guy I'd see this differently, but I'm the non-triagleable man. If, by some miracle, the guy can get his legs around my hugeness, I will slam the hell out of them.

I honestly think the least scary fighter(of any repute, anyhow) is Royce Gracie. His standup is pathetic. His takedowns are worse and all he does is lay around taking a beating until you screw up and overextend. I'd take a fight with him on one day's notice.

You would have to clarify on what constitutes 100 worth of shit. 100 worth of UG Enanthate is 30ml. 100 of Euro amps is 10ml. Yoamsayn?

I don't know who to call here. I know when they used to train together I heard Tito had a lot of trouble pulling chuck down and chuck was a better puncher. That was a while ago though and Tito looks a lot different now.
I'm rooting for Chuck. The light heavy division needs to mix chuck, tito, randy, vitor, vanderlei, rampage, randleman, henderson, arona, ninja and shogun up and just keep rotating them and making them fight each other... Match any two of those guys and it's guaranteed to be fun to watch
