400 lb benchers

365 for a clean 4, which put me at 412 as per calculators. Had the same goal as you(500 by 50, I believe). Shoulder exploded and still recovering almost 8 months post op now and no intention of getting under a barbell(flat bench, anyway) ever again. I wish you luck and good health on your journey. Be safe.

Man I hit 385 with no problem. I think it's safe to say I can do 400 without even attempting it to risk injury. Do you agree?

You mean bench it or accept that I can? If you mean bench it I will but when I do I am going to be confident that I can do a little more. I think that's logical. I watched that 600lb benchers on the powerlifting forum. That one man setting world records I don't think was even at his max. I was in awe of how clean that was

Take that 385 lbs and go for a double. That equates to a 400-405 1 rm. Or better yet, do a triple with 360 because that equates the same. Work in doubles and triples so that you’re using lighter weight with less risk of injury. Then do an iso hold with 405. Out of the rack and just hold it for 5-10 seconds to get use to that weight. That will increase your confidence. The toughest part of the PR is mental. That “fuck it’s heavy” that pops into your head will cause you to fail each time.

My best was 425 lbs in competition with a pause last summer.

You hit the nail on the head with the mental part. Intimidating just to look at. Lol

Ahh. I hate that I have an ego in the gym most of the time cause it always seem to lead me to try stuff I shouldn't you know? But... well.. it has been periodically comforting to know I can bench a good bit so I can answer honestly when asked. My stupid morals always get in the way of being an elite braggart. No suggestions made to anyone else anywhere, just people I have known in my past.

At my advanced age, I will go very heavy once every blue moon and can still bench 425 for 2.

Do got a serious question for you though. I'm going to stop anadrol after total of 4 weeks. Between it and tren starting to feel the fatigue. Going to run test, npp cycle next after a little bit of cruising. Would 8 weeks off of anadrol be plenty of time off orals to run a 4-6 week cycle of dbol or do you all recommend longer

I would think you want quite a bit longer off. Can you get bloods (I know, typical response) to at least check for some warning signs on liver function? Have you been taking any supplements to help liver function?

Also, how were strength gains on tren and adrol?

I basically think this is a good idea. I have some thoughts about this common (advisable so long as you compete enough) practice though:
- Firstly, how do you set PRs/PBs with a mindset that going for a max is more likely to cause injury than more reps at 90%? I honestly think that's a difficult mindset to overcome and could act as a strong mental block.
- How can reps at X% truly equate to something that is so mental to overcome?
- What about the specificity of training in a rep range for strengthening that rep range; e.g., repping triples at ~90%, adding weight to your 3RM, over time, are you just building specific strength for those rep ranges- consider, too, that as we become more advanced we likely need more specific loading to progress.

Milk thistle and liver 12 last 6 weeks. Tren progressive strength gains, anadrol-retard strength. If I was 10 years younger I could give you numbers but trying not to f..k myself up I didn't even try to max stuff out. Raw strength tren does not compare to anadrol in my opinion

I know all about it brother. Crazy strength with tren and adrol (and a test suspension/TNE preworkout for max out days).

With your liver, if you're running blind basically without any idea of liver values, that should make you use more caution. The stress from adrol should definitely lead you to take more than time off = time on IME.

That should be a good warning to those who are older...orals will affect older guys more.
