5 weeks into retatrutide

Just wanted to give my retatrutide experience, this is my current dosing:

week 1: 2mg
week 2: 2mg
week 3: 3.5mg
week 4: 4mg
week 5: 4mg

first two weeks didn't notice a single thing still binged for 3 days lol
week 3 still didn't notice anything major but I didn't binge I still could binge if I really wanted to
week 4 is when I had one day of really bad bloating that lasted for a half a day and went away. I believe I did start noticing an appetite suppression but I could still cheat but the desire to binge or eat out wasn't totally there.
week 5 I don't really have a desire to eat junk and have been sticking to a diet pretty well. No bloating.

while taking reta I've also been tracking blood sugar via cgm and even when I did cheat, my blood sugar never got above 120(and your boy ate). Could be because I'm post show but even week 3-4 with high carb meals It NEVER goes over 120. I'm eating more food now in my diet and the highest it gets to now is 109-111 at peak spike and quickly goes down within minutes. I'd say I need to run reta a little longer to make a final answer and maybe even up the dose but I'll keep this thread updated.

Just a little update, gonna be switching dose to 1mg ed, I'm not really getting the appetite supression I want so I might even add a small amount amount of semaglutide as well. Haven't felt sick or anything from reta so we'll see how it goes lol.

That is one of the main mechanism of glp1 to lower blood sugar. Lower gastric emptying and reduced bile production

It doesn't reduce bile production, it speeds reabsorption from the intestines to the bloodstream, lowering spillover to the colon.

In any case, bile facilitates lipid absorption, not carbohydrates. The slower gastrointestinal motility allows for greater absorption, of, at the least, non-fat nutrients.

Reta doesn't usually suppress appetite as much as other glps, especially at lower doses.

Recommended to stick to a weekly schedule and just keep titrating up to the next dose level.

I'm curious if you've noticed any heart issues on reta so far? That's the only reason I'm scared to try reta
I started really low with Reta, .5mg weekly, and the first week 3 days after injection I felt like I was having a panic attack. Well I have never had one but what I think it would feel like. Heart was racing. Never happened again and I am on 1mg and going to move to the full dose of 2mg.

Sema's working well for me so far, but that's good to know for when I eventually(?) possibly hit a wall with it

I have stocked up on Reta but yet to start. I was under the impression you have to stay at 2mg for atleast a month to let this one build up in your system. As in it works different than sema or Tirz.

Many suggest if you feel nothing after two weeks to jump up.

Serious question, cause of your name, are you Male or Female? Heard doses affect gender differently too.

All of these GLP new weekly compounds have half lives that require 4 doses to reach peak plasma concentration. So at a given dose, the effect will be stronger after the second, third, and fourth (there are other factors, this is a general rule).

But if you're not feeling much after the second administration of any given dose, it's ok to titrate up the following week.

@Ghoul

Started 2mgs Reta Friday evening, took your advice on starting Metamucil approx a week before and continuing to take 3 times a day.

I know Reta slows bowl emptying, but for how long lol? Havnt really went since Friday morning …

Edit - was going very well prior week before on the Metamucil every morning and occasionally after work.

Well it slows gastric emptying until you reach weight stasis at whatever level 2mg Reta has set your weight "thermostat" to. In other words, until you lose the weight your reprogrammed metabolism wants you to.

That said, constipation is a possibility with any GLP, and these effects are worst in the first 6 weeks or so.

Personally I only use Metamucil once a day.

I'd suggest getting an over the counter laxative and use it. 3 days is the rule of thumb. Within a few weeks your body should be well adjusted and you won't have as much GI chaos.
