On the flat bench I compleated 5 sets of 5 with 110lb dumbells, And I think my gym has the 120 or 125s I forget. Its the ones with the 12.5lb plates.

So Im running out of weight on the flat bench with dumbells. I love dumbells. I dont want to have to start using the barbell. But I guess I have no choice.

On Incline Im up to 90's.

Im not uping the weight after each set. Do you think I should up the weight after each set?

I do chest twice a week.

I am still what most of you guys would call a beginer. Soooo let me know what you think.

Also do you guys work your shoulders out twice a week?

And the other day I tried to do shoulders the same day as chest. And mabee it was I didnt wait long enough and it was the latic acid. But I found it nearly impossible to do both on the same day.

I want to do both on the same day though. Can someone give me some advice.

Bro, don't confuse yourself. You are not doing the 5X5. 5 sets of 5 reps does not THE 5X5 make. ;)

No, don't up the weight each set. Straight sets are the best, IMO. I've almost always done them, 'ceptin' for a short period when I pyramided the weight.

Because THE 5X5 is much, much deeper than a set/rep scheme. First and foremost, it is built around squatting 3X/wk. That is the most important part of the program, followed by the loading and unloading phases.

I fail to see what 5X5 has to do with anything your doing. You CAN do shoulders the same day, If you can't get it up, use less weight.
