5x5 ????????

I just started the 5x5 program. Unless I'm missing something am I correct that there's no bicep or tricep exercises involved and if so why. Does anyone add those to your program. Thx..................11

It depends! I do the 5x5 for powerlifting. In powerlifting I do a lot of tricep work, and very little bicep. Animalmass is a great one to tell you all about the 5x5, here is his website: www.totalelite.com

Because for PLers (which is mainly who the program is geared towards) dont need strong bis. They are basically non-functioning units during the 3 movements. Plus, arm size seems to move more in tandem with overall bodyweight than with any particular program with direct stimuli. All in all, direct arm training isnt necessary except from a psychological perspective.
