In a "nutshell"17 year old kid with depression issues was using some Deca for baseball and killed himself. 60 minutes refered to the boys death as a steroid "induced death". I would like to thank Barry Bonds, George Bush etc... and that stupid fu*king lab(balco, bullco whatever) for starting the " great steroid panic.I have a bad feeling things are going to get alot worst.

Yea I saw that,,,Alot of folk just don't know
how to handel it. Alot WILL get depressed
,,and MOST don't even know how to drop
there nuts. These local boys here will not
spend the money on Nolva,,or Clomid. Just
wnat the Test and the D-bol,,,,and they wonder
why they drop like a bag of hammers.

It all bulls down to reading and learning. But I do
agree Roids are not always the answer.

HHH

yea i just watched it, i think the steroids did have something to do with it, but i agree that he probably didnt know what he was doing.

Here we go again

I think it is going to get a whole lot worse, you can't turn ESPN on without seeing a story about roids. Hang on tight bros I have a feeling we are in for a real shit storm in the future. I don't think they are going to just let this one go away queitly. Stay safe bros.
Bigtraps

I am sure he had some underlying psychological problems before hand and the AS just enhanced it.
Exactly.

And everytime a youngster takes his own life, the parents are always going to find a reason to blame for it. It is never their fault nor the youngster's. In this case, they blamed steroids and they blamed the guy's baseball coach for telling him he should "get bigger" but for not telling him how to get bigger. What BS.

This is the same type of anti-steroid mania developing now that was happening in the early 90s, only it is worse this time because of the baseball players being caught. Back then, juice was easily obtainable with a doc's prescription and even possession of non-presecription was no big deal. Back then, the FDA and DEA did not want to make roids a Schedule 3 drug, but Democratic Senator Joe Biden pushed it until he won. He led the charge making the risks so high for normal guys just wanting to take a little Test. Political party affiliation really does not matter when politicians see an easy opportunity to grandstand for the voters. Roids provides the perfect opportunity.

i just had to suffer through a story in my local paper about steroids and how "roid rage" was "irreversible" , Lyle Alzado, birth defects caused by juice, etc. hell it even villified creatine as being toxic to the liver. It was Disgracefully misinformed and full of hysteria but this is how its being crafted for the general public. Bad times ahead

bro's, sure we can sit back and let people forget about it. but it may not happen this time and its scary to think that now the FDA is going to target yohimbine, white willow bark, synephrine, and the list goes on. please media know-it-alls, protect me from myself and all those innocent childeren out there whos parents arent watching after them.
I love it, at the current time, if i mention to someone i know that im sweating alot because the ECA or im jittery, they get all offensive, telling me its not good to take that "stuff". this gives me an opprotunity to say, "heres how it is, and LISTEN to what i have to say, because everything youve been hearing is bullshit".... then i go on and try to explain with some science, the flaws of the media and their claims. Furthermore, we can combat this by writing back in the editorials about these types of topics whenever our papers come out with some crap. Or write to supplement companies about how they need to get on the offensive about this and stop pandering to the media and changing products and start getting on those same shows and showing proof, with science, that these "evil" products are safe. With this, i think people will realize that overall sports supplement and steroid related issues are the LEAST of our concern.

I don't get that damn depressed when I come off of a cycle. I may loose a little weight, but that makes me look more ripped. Coming off just make me look forward to planning my next better cycle.

That article will just stir up more shit for us good bros who don't abuse a good sports medicine.

Steroid Users: Eat healthy, keep alcohol consumption to a minimum, go to the gym after work to keep in shape, and feel good about themselves and have a high self esteem.

Rec Drug Users: Spend all there money for a buzz, Fall behind on bills and sometimes have items repossed. Eventually become highly addictive, and we all know all addicts will steal even from their best friend when given the chance. Always in trouble and starting shit. Don't give a shit about life, just about getting that buzz. Will spend their last $5 on a Lortab instead of of bread and milk to have something to eat. Am I wrong? AM I WRONG? I've been there and had a serious problem with Pain killers. My firends sat me down and opended up to me and at that moment, I realized what the fuck am I doing? I didn't just quit cold turkey, because I had to gradually come off of the tabs, but now I realise all that abuse took a toll on my body. Now I stick to my wourkout routines, helathy meals, and so called supplements and feel great about myself.

All this tells you something. AAS users are healthy and want to stay fit and look and feel good.

Rec Drug users: Read the above section.

Now you tell me who the bad guys are?

Leave us the fuck alone. Go after the dealers that are fucking up kids lives with crack and coke and turn them on to a better life.

How many of you agree with me? Please speak up.

steriod death

how bout the stupid doctor bitch prescribing anti fucking depressents
because of low test levels coming off. heres an idea HCG how bout that
to restore test levels and help with depression. oh i forgot theres no
medical sales rep coming to her office sending her on trips to prescribe
hcg just quote "legitimate meds" yeah fucking right.anyway its a
tragedy that the kid took his life. its alot easier way easier for everyone
invoved to blame big bad steroids that to look at the parents actions
or lack of actions. i do feel for the family. however some people make
it others dont
jason

I really hate it when the mainstream media takes something like this and pounds it into the uneducated heads of the public. This kid had problems and should have gotten help for them. But he didnt so he has taken his own life. Which is sad but true. and like someone said the parents are going to point the finger at AS, rather then put the blame on the child or themselves.

Oh yeah Drip i could'nt agree with you more!

Deca is notorious for elevating progesterone levels which can lead to serious depression. I can't touch the stuff it, it makes me want to jump off a bridge and i am more than twice that kids age and an experienced lifter-supplement taker. EQ gives me similiar benefits with no depress.
It is a hormonal side effect and u don't have to be prone to dep. to experience it.

This quote is pretty foolish. Most bodybuilders will use a fast acting antidepressant to combat mood swings and elevated aggression while on or coming off. Why do you think so many sources carry them? Antideps. are quote "legitimate meds" and have helped a lot of people.
I have been prescribed test for low levels after coming off which is really going back on. Your local doc. has no clue about what to precribe patients coming off juice with low test levels and depression and really does not want to jeopordise his/her reputation or liscense by becoming A so called expert. Anyway the doc. sees a ton of patients and these isolated incidents are mostly young under informed kids who are doing (illegal) juice for physical or athletic enhancement. This previously healthy patient is not going to get much sympathy from the medical community for obvious reasons.
Lets face it, you got to research this stuff before you get into it and be prepared for whatever may come your way.
How many times has that been said?

Linebacker

Just wait till next football season. They are all gonna look like high school players. Our linemen will go from lean 300lbs to fat 250. I know some personal trainers that are actually quitting their jobs because they can see the future much better than us. Some "trainers" are nothing more than suppliers to their clients and give advice on what to take and not take for testing days. At least NASCAR won't be affected. Although a few of them look pretty buff for eating track food.

I dont think Nascar drivers are sittin around their trailers eating track food. Over the past 5 years or so, there has been a major change to working out for drivers and pit crew members, better eating habits, etc. They finally realized that being in top phyiscal shape is an advantage. Im sure some of the guys use, but saying "they look great for eating track food" is like saying "Garciaparra is in great shape for eating ballpark food." Just because that food is where they work doesnt mean they eat it.
