A alternative testing method at home

:)
TLC isn’t about purity quantity.. true. But to claim it’s useless for gear ID is clown-tier logic. TLC absolutely detects fakes when the compound isn’t present or when there's a mismatch in Rf vs a known reference. If a vial's supposed to contain tren, and the TLC shows zero signal where tren should run, that’s proof of absence... not rocket science.

Purity? No.
Presence/absence? Hell yes.
You’re confusing resolution power with analytical utility.

Jano runs full spec because he's paid to do quantitative analysis. Doesn’t mean a $2 TLC plate can’t red flag bunk gear in 5 minutes.

Stay mad.

TLC can give relative purity insight... not as a percentage, but visually. One clean, sharp spot ≠ pure compound, but multiple spots or streaking = contaminated or mixed sample. That’s qualitative impurity detection, which is a component of purity assessment. Anyone who’s ever run TLC in a real lab knows this.

Nobody said TLC replaces HPLC. That’s a strawman.
TLC flags fakes and cuts quickly, especially in conjunction with co-spotting and reference controls.
It’s not about lab-grade certs... it’s about triage and pattern detection.

Trying to gatekeep chemistry knowledge with insults just exposes your insecurity. If you can’t distinguish between qualitative and quantitative analytical tools, maybe sit out the analytical convo

I've run a ton of TLC plates. Are you working in a lab doing this?

I wear respirators and now have a fume hood
respirators are a godsend, would never handle some of these substances (chloroform for recrystallisation comes to mind) without, shit can get real nasty real quick.

I hope there are enough bright minds in this community to truly turn your input into some real change, especially during times like these. Do not get dragged down by some of these Troglodytes misunderstanding the Utility/Opportunities your work brings. I believe that this and your recrystallisation paper can lead to some real, noticeable harm reduction.

Its going to take time. Raw supplies are in short supplies and my experiments depend on having access to all various compunds to extract the data needed. Its already soild to do tren ace. But DECA? EQ? Yeah that's when things need a bit more experimental data done. The datas mostly out there but for the things I want it's going to take some manual time to write it all down document what happens and keep it in my paper. I'll get there. Slow and steady build up of my samples. I'm glad I have friends who are willing to front me a few things and get me started.

Technically speaking anything can be purified but you must run process of elimination to determine the perfect solvent. Will have to invest into a capulary heating unit for better data extraction. Once I get the best solvent for every compound. I will share and obviously inform others so they don't waste time.

My setup is slowly turning into a lab anyways. Metal table stainless steel. Autoclave. Beakers. Funnels. Flasks. I guess making steroids made me wanna learn other things. This is all just insanely fun for me and I never feel bored of it. Maybe my calling is chemistry...Iv ended up doing more than just steroids as my setup has improved. This is one of the long term projects I really want to get good at. Always thought it was weird no one has a at home testing method.
Where did you start learning the brewing process? I’ve been cruising for 3yrs with multiple blasts along the way. As reliable suppliers are hard to come by I would like to become a reliable supplier myself.

Brewing gear is super easy. Producing sterile safe product a tad more complicated. Commit to the latter. I will teach anyone but you start with aseptic technique and environmental safety. We have enough idiots selling bioburden laden crap.
