A Southern Yankee's Winter Blast

There was this guy. His name is Tanned Foust. Pro racer. Wins alot.

He was filmed trying to drive a truck. After he completely destroyed the road course he freely admitted it takes far more coordination to do this than to win races. Hmmm strange

I know the guy... Idk i guess if u think about it everything equally has its own undividual skill that must be aquired to do it...i guess its like a pro racer couldbt do what yhall do and vise versa?

Ive never been small enough to race mx competitively. I went thru a pretty serious stage of my life where my Honda 250 was my everything. That was back when every thing sold was 2stroke.

All those guys who succeed in mx are genetically small people. Makes sense. Low center gravity and light weight. My big ass couldn't compete with them

Yes you r right... Typically a pro mx racer will be small... But they also r sometimes tall but never muscular.. Ive raced mx my whole life.. I have a ktm 450

Long live the 2stroke!!

Ya that was back when McGrath reinvented mx. Before all the new breed came in. Seems ancient now. But he was definitely the man back then on his honda

Hell yeh he was man... Dude i use to go to alot of races... My dad owns a motorcycle business and our big part warehouse reps who spinsors all the big races gets us vip passes every year where we get to go meet all the riders and take pictures and shit.. Walk the the track all that good stuff.. Anyways they use to make mx cards just like baseball cards but pro mx racers like on their bike in the air and shit.. Well dude i have jeremy mcgraths rookie card signed by him!!!

Agreed!! Jeremy was the man, i would get up early just to watch him race he was unbeatable for a while. I remember when ricky came along, i hated him for no other reason except he was beating Mcgrath.
But in time i even started to like Carmichael!!!!

Ricky is the shit man.. They dont call him the goat for nothing!!! Then there is jamesstewart that mother fucker is insane..

Long live the 2 stroke!!!!! I feel like a traitor riding a yz450 now. This is one of the best conversations I have seen on this site!!! I have been into roosting mother fuckers since I had my first pw50 with training wheels at the age of 4! I remember being at super cross in the astrodome at like 8 years old wearing a Jeremy McGrath jersey that was like 5 sizes too big because it was the last one.

Idk I dont follow this shit no more. Is yamaha still the ride to have?

Not really. Technolog has came so far it's back and forth. Yamaha is all around good balanced bike, Suzuki comes from the factory with race valved Showa suspension (good I'd you weigh 180lbs or less, Kawasaki has the raw power, and ktm is still the same old expensive to work on ktm (but they look cool).

I dont think I got the nuts for anything as narley as a dirt bike any more. I do all my offroading sitting behind a rollcage. I would like to get a four wheeler again or maybe a side by side like the razor

Yeh i have a ktm and thy are deff more expensive to work on.. But they cone with nice features.. But still to me honda is hands down my fav.. But really its all personal preference. They all make good bikes..
