I have been working abs for quite some time and can't get rid of the "Belly" look. It isn't a "fatty" look just a hard round belly. it seems as if the harder I work abs the larger it looks, sort of like its bloated. From looking at my father and my uncles I think I may be pre-disposed to this "look"... built a lot like a power lifter...

The confusing part is that I have always had a mesomorph body type and really didn't have this problem until about 5 years ago.

I have tried several diets and always watch what I eat and drink... now just clean foods no junk, high protein and minimal complex carbs.

My ab routine looks much like this...

Decline sit ups 3x25 with weights or resistance bands
Ball crunches 3x25 with resistance bands
Bow down(whatever its called) on cable machine 3x25
flat bench leg raises 3x25

cardio 15-20 minutes pre-workout - could be increased a bit but not safe at this point

someone help please!

Thanks Guys!

No... it doesn't sound backwards and I have reduced the amount of ab work I do since I posted... I know when I was training years ago in my late teens and early 20's my trainer obsessed on ab's and actually we WAY over trained (3-4 hrs daily) everything. He was from the OLD old school and felt like you had to puke to get a good workout... He called them samurai workouts... I think he just like to see me puke at the end...

After a lot of research here on Meso I had found that MOST of my workout was just wrong... funny how the internet makes the world a smaller place...

Thanks again for the help guys...
