I finished up my last cycle and put on a lot of strength, and kept most of it even after my PCT.

recently, when doing barbell shrugs, I did this:
135x12
225x12
275x10
295x10
315x10

i always shrug and hold, before i lower the weight. this time, after my last set, I felt a bit of pain in my left AC joint.

then: 3 days ago I was doing dumbell inclines with 80'sx10. went ok, but afterwards, the pain got a lot worse, so much so that grabbing the seatbelt or taking off my shirt hurt like a bitch. I did ultrasound, e-stim, taped it, and put voltaren gel, and it seems much better today.

seems like my muscles can handle a lot more weight than my ligaments can. anyone experience this before? and whats the natural way to supplement, so that i can strengthen my tendons and ligaments, to match my muscles?
I just bought a huge bottle of collagen and i'll start taking that to see how it goes.

Give the collagen a go BUT unfortunately the research supporting it's efficacy is quite paltry. Best means of healing collagenous injuries, time and rest mate.

Yeah sounds like over training. Do you have to do that sort of volume to grow? Id rest and heal and when you go at it again try and find the minimum amount of volume to continue growing. Let food and rest do the rest of the work.

how is that volume too much? that's all I do for traps. first 2 sets are light, just to get a bit of a pump and get blood flowing to the area. last 2-3 sets are my working sets. and thats all the volume I do.

225 may feel light. But it's still extra stress. If I were working at that intensity I would warm up at 150 for 12-15 reps then jump to 315 for 1-2 sets. But more importantly that isn't the only exercise putting strain on your shoulder. You might need to look at your split and see if you are doing too many exercises the same day that put strain on your shoulder.
