Accidentally froze HGH…toss it?

Accidentally froze a vial of reconstituted HGH …should I just toss it in the trash?

Backstory is that I had to travel for work and brought a vial of unreconstituted HGH with me.

Reconstituted it today about 3 hours ago using Hospira bac water. Put it in the hotel fridge and went to workout and grab dinner.

Just got back to the room and opened the fridge to put some drinks in and saw that the vial is frozen.

First time this has happened so I don’t know if I should let it thaw and pin before bed or just throw it away.

4-5 days, heading back home Friday.

Before posting here I searched the internet and found one study abstract saying that freezing “significantly increased aggregates” but no details beyond that.

Probably not worth it but thought I’d check here anyway.

This looks like the abstract you found (Eckhardt 1991).

They say no effect on soluble aggregates but increased insoluble aggregates if it cooled too quickly. The paper is paywalled so I don't know if 3 hours is too quickly.

Could you see any insoluble aggregates upon cooling? Could appear as white flakes. I wouldn't inject those. But if it was clear, I'd pin it. Otherwise, it's only 4-5 days, not a big deal in the grand scheme.

I wouldn’t risk it, man. Once HGH is reconstituted, it’s fragile as hell - freezing probably messed it up. I’d toss it. No point pinning mystery water.

But hey, if you’ve been on GH for 6+ months, a 5–10 day break might actually do you some good. Give the receptors a little vacation, drop some bloat, maybe even get your appetite or pumps back to baseline. You’ll probably come back feeling fresher - and your body might even respond better when you hop back on.

All the pharma rHGH products tell you to discard if you accidentally freeze it.

In a mouse study, freeze / thawed rHGH induced a strong immune response. Which explains the above warning. Once they reduced the aggregates (they actually used a technique to break the aggregates back into individual rHGH monomers), they no longer had the immune response, Full disclosure, they freeze/thawed the vials 20x to make sure to induce as much temp stress as possible.

If you were filtering it, removing those aggregates, I'd say it's probably ok, just weakened from some of the rHGH being destroyed.

When rHGH was expensive 5 on 2 off was common. it's not like you're going to lose much ground in 4 days.

Your call.

Have you only been socializing here for the last year or so bro? I've got to ask, it's like you are, over time, actually becoming less educated and inquisitive. It's quite the sight.

Tossed it, it’s not worth risking.

CTS was starting to creep up so I was going to decrease my dose anyway.

Appreciate all the replies!
