Accurate mg scale?

That will maybe be accurate to within 10mg or so up or down in any direction. It’s hard to say exactly.. but they’re not known for true accuracy.

i can live with that. For now It's purpose is to weigh out some Anavar for personal use and possibly some other orals down the road.

Thank you and everyone else that contributed to this thread for your input.

i ordered the one that @Skard showed. Seems to have good reviews (if they're to be believed) and should be here any day.

i'm weighing in mg, not mcg, so if there's a variance of 5 mg in either direction it's not the end of the world. Pinpoint accuracy isn't paramount here, but i would like it to weigh within a reasonable range.
The one @Skard showed did exactly that: was off by 5 mg and couldn’t be calibrated to correct it. Should’ve grabbed the one I showed so I could have those bragging rights.

The $20 Gemini scales on Amazon are perfectly fine if you're ok with a variance of that, comes with a 5 and 10g weight to check. Anything crazier is a waste of time as they typically require rebalancing by a professional if you're talking about lab scales.

Can anyone recommend an accurate (within reason) mg scale that won't require me to resort to g4p to afford?
Issue isn't accuracy but platform. Make sure the scale has a flat metallic platform, so much easier to weigh and use a tare. Seriously they've compared $15 mg scales to $100 scales and the accuracy is exactly the same.

If they compared the 15$ mg scale and the 100$ mg scale and they performed the same that’s because it costs multiple hundreds of dollars for a scale capable of accurately weighing something within a certain very low weight range with absolute certainty.

True, but for 2-5mg the Amazon scales are perfectly adequate.

2mg no, not a chance..5 mg yeah, if your okay with a 5-10mg variance. If you want a scale to weigh 2mg with absolute certainty it’s going to cost you hundreds.. @janoshik might be able to chime in here and help you.
Bro I have measured so many drugs that would have either fucked up my night or potentially killed me if they were a few mg off in my college days, the scales you find on Amazon or others are fine.

Or your shitty research chemicals were underdosed or not as lethal as you think. Trust me, a scale that can reliably determine 2mg from 1mg is going to cost you a few hundred dollar even used.

I use a small square of white paper on my $20 scale.--Cut tiny strips off of it until it registered 200 mg. Every time I place it on the scale it is right on, or within 1 mg.
Then place my vitamin powder on the paper. I just can't see why you need to be much more accurate than that, unless you're dealing with something like caber, in which case you should be using pre-made pharm grade anyway.

I picked up an F1 class 1-gram calibration weight to ease my mind about my $30 scales. The weights you get free with most scales are crap. I got two with my last scale, both supposedly the same mass, and got different readings for each one. The 1 gram weight was inexpensive and the reading came out to 1 on the dot.
