Accutane permanent cure?

He can potentially ask to start on a lower dose to avoid side effects and taper up, i dont think a dermatologist would be against this because many recommend isotrentinoin as a last resort if antibiotics and other methods dont work from what i read

The pharma isotretinoin will be gel caps, so you won't be able to break them down.

For anyone’s reference by the way, they go down to 5mg (a dose no longer available in US pharma), which I started using daily for general skin maintainance / anti-aging about 6 months after finishing the full Isotretinoin cycle. Makes a visible difference most noticeable in evenness of skin tone and reduction of fine wrinkles.

Accufine is 5/10/20/30/40 mg. A box of 100 5mg cost me ~$10 so $35 for a year’s supply vs $600-700 / yr to get it from the derms who prescribe it off label for anti aging. And they use 10mg eod, which can cause minor sides (dry lips) due to the peaks, vs daily 5mg which avoids that.

Yeah I think the lowest dose I would get from the dermatologist would be 20mg (assuming in 1 capsule). Ill order some india pharma smaller doses to have on hand.

Maybe ill take the doc up on the 20mg and depending on my reaction guage if I go the micro or macro route while awaiting accufine. Worst case I save accufine for post treatment maintenance.

Feels kinda dumb to go from high to low instead of just starting low.. I just want to start already so I can be one dose closer to finishing. Feels like im siging up for torture camp to bring in the new year lol

At least it’ll be over by summer.

I don’t mention this enough, you are very very susceptible to sunburn when using high doses of Isotretinoin. Be careful.

I think I saw this somewhere in the thread but don't recall the answer. Does MT2 use carry any risks when combined with accutane?

I don’t think anyone’s studied that. Mechanistically it doesn’t seem like they’d be connected despite both being skin related. MT2 doesn’t affect skin cells, just melanocytes. I did use them together for a short time, and an hour after the MT2 injection, 5 mins of sun exposure yielded much stronger tanning than MT2 would usually do with that protocol.

Was a foolish risk and don’t recommend it, but that was my experience.

Right on. I use 1-2 mg MT2 a week just so I don't turn into a pasty vampire during the winter. No tanning or sun, just maintenance of my tan from summer.

I thought they were like 3.50 from pct zone, but i guess if you're including shipping. No matter who you order from you will have to pay shipping though. 24/7 has cheaper prices and i think there is a sale until the end of the month. Best to stock up to make the shipping worth it, you will need alot of accutane to meet the cumilative dose

I don’t but I can tell you this is the time of year you can get it in good condition from India. To be extra sure, tell vendor you’re buying a lot, so make sure it’s “fresh”. The manufacturing date’s on the box. Last time I ordered in March, and it had a manufacturing date of January of the same year.

Yeah you arent going to find cheap accutane domestic, its crazy expensive. You wont find pharma grade neither unless you get a perscription. I think everyone will agree that Indian pharma is the best option for accutane, super cheap and pharma grade. Youll spend thousands for domestic from UGLs with questionable quality
