Accutane permanent cure?

I powered through 120 over 10 days of dry everything. I'm finally stable, gonna hang here I think and ride it out. Did you split your dose? I take 80 in the AM and 40 PM.
I split everything over 40mg up AM/PM, if nothing else that to try to minimize the sides. At 120 it was a little easier to do the 80mg PM, seemed like everything was a bit less dry during the day than the reverse.

do you build a ”tolerance” so to speak to a given dose. not in the sense that’s it is ineffective, but in the sense of sides like dryness etc decreasing as you spend time as a certain dosage.

Yeah, for me the sides (nosebleeds, chapped lips) were terrible for the first few days at a new dose level but got better soon after. I was very aggressive with dose increases: 4 days at 40mg AM; 10 days at 80 mg (40/40 split); 5 days so far at 120 mg (40/80 split). Cortibalm lip cream from Amazon has been a lifesaver too.

120mg is nuclear... Why don't you go on lower

I want to get done before summer and need to get through 400 40mg pills to hit the top end of the cumulative dose for my weight. I'm doing one strong course to hopefully permanently stop getting breakouts when starting and ending blasts going forward.

Yeah I split it, 40 AM 60 PM, since I take it with lunch and dinner which are only 6-8 hours apart, so I take the larger dose with dinner.

Yeah. Feeling his absence in multiple threads. That's for sure.

Anyway, I'm ending week 4 of his high-dose protocol. Bumped up to 140 mg today. I'm now fully armed with face lotion, body lotion, Aquaphor, Vaseline (inside nose), and eye drops.

I'm still hoping someone will chime in and explain the high DAILY dose benefits that I can't seem to find or remember (thought it was in this thread).

My understanding is the only benefit of the higher daily dose is it gets you to the total cumulative dose earlier. The area under the curve will be the same, just a tradeoff between sides and duration. Only caveat to this would be tiny daily doses that would make your duration excessively long (years instead of months) that could negatively impact recurrence risk.

Had a bit of an odd experience, so I figured I'd share. I met my 220mg/kg goal and decided to taper my dose down instead of dropping to 5mg/day immediately as I originally intended. I dunno if it's just the swing, but going from 160mg/day to 80mg/day seems to have caused the sides to get worse.

I got some seriously dry patches and mild skin irritation along with the usual stuff. What's odd about it is it's the same batch as the tail end of my 160mg/day dose. I could *maybe* understand if it was a different batch, but given it's the same, I'm a bit puzzled. I planned to do a week at 80, then 40, then down to the 5mg and roll from there, but I'm questioning it a bit with the sides being worse. Didn't expect dropping the dose to feel like upping it, and I am about out of patience with this process lol.

There's probably no reason to taper down but I figured it couldn't hurt and I have plenty of extra, so tapering down seemed like a reasonable way to acclimate to a much lower dose without a wild change.

Damn, that's kinda concerning as I also just dropped down to 80mg/day from 120...only been 2 days so I haven't noticed any difference yet but I'll be on the lookout. Thanks for the heads up and hope you get yours resolved. I'm basically bathing in Cerave cream

Very interesting. I have been titrating up and down throughout the course mostly due to bursts of extreme cold and low humidity in my region and I think maybe it has helped ease sides? I’m not 100% sure tbh. Looking back, the worst sides I experience were the first few weeks in and then I feel they leveled off.

I actually decided that today I’m dropping down dosage into the double digits for the first time in awhile as I up the AAS dosage (Test, Mast, NPP @ 600/400/150). I’m right around 9000mg at the tail end of wk 12 and would like to run 8-10 more weeks, but work the dosage down slowly over that time — that’ll check the box of 120-150mg/kg and a time on of at least 5 months. I will keep an eye on sides and report back.

Has anything significant changed recently outside of dosing parameters?

Yeah, I've been raiding the moisturizer tubs a lot more than usual the last couple days. Hoping it passes and I can continue to taper down.

The weather has not helped (cold as F lately) but it's been like that longer than I've dropped the dose, so I don't know if it's relevant. Otherwise the same on all other fronts for the last few weeks. I'm been down to TRT levels for well over a month, so I don't think that's playing a role but I can't say for sure.

I came down a couple times from 120 to 80 and didn't have this issue. That said, I didn't really notice any change in sides on the way down, but coming back up did make them a little bit worse for a bit. Could just me a me thing, who knows.

Man I was really hoping for some relief on a lower dose... got me shook now haha.

I also live in a very cold climate this time of year and it's been dry af.

Unrelated to the Accutane, I'll just drop an anecdote that I'm 5 weeks into taking 25mg ivermectin per week as recommended somewhere in this thread. I was hoping for dramatic poop worms or some purging or something exciting but alas no. Nothing noticeable so I'll continue for 8-10 weeks.

Crossing fingers for you man, this shit works but it's def not a fun ride.
thank brother... I took some snaps at the gym today and was looking at all the fading blemishes on my lower back and hoping to never see them again once this is over.

I think my back and shoulders have purged. Still waiting on the chest which is of course the worst place to have them because that's where all the bitches look first.

Get you a fancy turtleneck and a fanny pack, they won't notice a thing.
