This isn't to discourage anyone from using Accutane, but antibiotics (50-100 mg daily doxycycline for a couple of months) and topical retinoids are options to pursue before going that route. It's worth mentioning that because Accutane is a commitment.
Another topical (to complement benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid) is ketoconazole, found in anti-fungal shampoo. Acne from steroid use is frequently associated with follicular infection from Malassezia species, which ketoconazole will take care of.
And while this may sound unappealing, 1/4 to 1/2 cup of household bleach (usually only 5-10% sodium hypochlorite) in a 40 gallon bathtub makes a very effective soak. If the smell is too much for you, you can do it with povidone-iodine... don't have to measure, just add it to the tub until it's the color of tea.
Medically prescribed baths are a great excuse to effectively sit in a hot tub and watch street ball dunk compilations or whatever it is you guys do on your phone in the bathroom.
