Then I have the privilege of people telling me "I dont do enough to help my fellow man"

But this last while has showed me the U.S has finally.become a country where the majority are weak as fuck sheep.

There's a real issue in society we can't / won't talks about. Jordan Peterson, love him or hate him, has tried to open discourse about it multiple times.

Someone is clinically retarded at an IQ lower then 85. That's like 20% of the population. At 85 someone can walk around dressed and fed, but can't get and keep a job, they don't understand consequences like the rest of us, often have no inner monologue, often don't understand the flow of time in a linear fashion, don't want to / can't organize in civil societies.

Most troubling is the sub 85 IQ group often fall prey to ideology that organizes group think like Islam, socialist / communist / Marxist doctrine, woke ideology and general cultish behavior, victim mindsets and entitlement because "I don't have what he has".

These guys are a net negative on society and most likely to need handouts, help outs, and social programs for basic living. Its not just a laziness thing, its they actually can't comprehend what they need to do kind of thing.

My buddies wife (once a bleeding heart lefty) works for this social service where she fills paperwork for the DMV, helps book doctors visits, pay bills ect. She started out thinking "were all equal" then said not a month ago "some people are unfortunately less capable of critical thinking".

As the population has increased from migration to western countries so has the draw on these systems which are now overstretched. Aforementioned lady went from 30 cases a week to 120 over 5 years, so some just aren't getting any help. Those people fall through the cracks, then bleat we need more social services (I don't even know what that is aside from buddies wife's job, never ever had help with anything) more reliance on the system, more help required, more come, more needed, more tax.

Its a sinking ship while they squeeze the middle class.

The median black male in the United States has an 85 IQ (84-87, depending upon the study)

Note that is the median, not the tails on either end, but roughly half are below 85 IQ.

For the average population (all races combined), 85 IQ -115 IQ is almost 70% of the population (68.4%). 13.6% are in the 70-85 range, and only 2.3% are below 70.

85 IQ is one standard deviation below 100.

The median black male, however, sits at the one standard deviation below marker just to the left of the middle of the graph below.



Half of the black population is below that mark, and half above, with tails extending in both directions. Given that blacks are 13% of the US population, you must imagine a peak much smaller when you mentally superimpose a second bell curve onto the graph (think of a small bell curve superimposed with the peak right at the first line to the left of the middle, but the peak only roughly 13% as high as the peak on that graph).

There will of course be a tail to the right, with very high IQ black males, and you may have met some of them. That does not change the fact that half of that population is below the one standard deviation mark low for the entire population (all races included).

What this means in terms of numbers (and I am going to ignore for now that the standard deviation is ever so slightly different for blacks alone than for the population as a whole) is that roughly 34.1% of blacks are 70-85 IQ, and 34.1% are 85-100 IQ, meaning the bulk (68.2%) of the population. You can figure out the rest of the percentages from there.

If you are white, however, and you have a 95 IQ or a 100 IQ, and you meet a black man who has a 115 IQ, yeah, he is still smarter than you. He is just rarer as a black man than a white or asian man with 115 IQ, since that 2.1% of the population area for blacks is 115-130 IQ (whereas it is 13.6% of the population as a whole and slightly higher when considering whites or asians alone).

Mental retardation is at an IQ of 70.

The median black man at an IQ of 85 can get and hold a job. He may not be a college professor teaching chemistry courses, or an orthopedic surgeon, but he can get and keep a job.

An IQ of 70 is a very different story.

Jordan Peterson's job cut off figure (I have listened to him many times) is an IQ of 83 and has to do with ASVAB cutoff scores (military testing). Congress sets the limits. See 10 USC 520

4% of inductees from between tenth and 31st percentiles on AFQT, but the Secretary of Defense can raise it to 20%.

AFQT scores have a very strong correlation with IQ, so you can look at the standard deviation chart and figure out approximately where tenth to thirty first percentiles are. The bottom tenth are going to be barely above 80 IQ, so 83 or so is probably correct.

P.S. A standard deviation is 15 IQ points when considering the population as a whole.

P.S.S. That standard deviation changes when you start dividing up categories, such as by sex or gender, which is something most observations ignore, but for purposes of this rough discussion it will get you close enough. Where it comes into play is mostly at the tails, when trying to figure out things like why more girls are not in STEM and coming to the realization that only half the number of females as compared to males have the IQ required to be a mechanical engineer (and you are puzzled because the medians are almost the same - welcome to differences in standard deviation! oh, but of course it is merely patriarchy . . . roll eyes)

Roughly 16% of the population (all races) is going to be below 85 IQ. You run into them and deal with them all of the time. Many of them have jobs.
